What to pack One of the things every groom must con- sider is the preparation of his honeymoon wardrobe. Two main factors determine his choice - the mode of travel and the destina- tion. If you plan to fly or drive, travel clothes should be casual and comfortable. If a cruise is scheduled, the casual togs should be augmented by at least a suit or sport jacket for dinner. It's a safe rule of thumb that for a two-week cruise, four complete and distinctly different outfits will be enough. Your travel agent can advise whether a dinner jacket may be needed as well. For travel by car or plane, a pair of jeans, two pairs of slacks and several sports shirts are among basic needs. A dress shirt or two, and a couple' of ties will come in handy for dinners at first-class restaurants. Wash-and-wear slacks and shirts are practical. Whether your destination is a quiet resort or a big city, sport coats and a blazer with Slacks could comprise your dressiest outfit. Try to select slacks that coordinate with the jackets - in this way, they do double duty. Three sets of wash wear underwear should be enough, as you can wash out one set each day and have a spare always ready. Six or eight pairs -of socks will do- and don't forget handkerchiefs.-- A— light -Weight washable robe is nice to take along because it can be used as a poolside coverup. Be sure to leave room for active sport- swear when packing. Include at least one lightweight sweater for chilly nights. Another must is a lightweight rain coat. Stylish shoes may look great, but if you in- tend to do a lot of sightseeing, be sure to pack your most comfortable walking shoes. Weddinlg bands are popular among men The wedding band is becoming popular among men. As more men are wearing jewellery, froth, pinky rings to neck chains, the groom is willing to wear a wedding band. Wedding bands are available in sets, so the groom's will match his bride's. Tradi- toin dictates that the couple's ,names orr in- itials and the wedding date be engraved in the ring or rings. Some• couples choose to skip the engage- ment ring and have diamonds set in both bands. Gentlemen's diamonds are very popular and they don't feel they're being feminine in the least by wearing them. The wedding band can be purchased to match the engagement ring. Often this means they have to be purchased at the same time, or as the big day approadhes the band may be out of stock. Many couples prefer to buy the diamond and put the band on lay away..This protects against price increases and ensures them they can get a matched set when they want • it.
