Honeyrnoon days alone set the tone for a happy life together
There's the ting and the engagement,
the months of planning and preparing, the
excitement of the week before the wedding,
then the big day.
The two of you have been so busy checking
details where has the time gone?
Here you are standing face to face, man
and wife, alone at last starting your new life.
Those first few days can set the tone for
the first few months. You'll either
remember your honeymoon as a fairytale
come true, or as a mixed-up time spent feel-
ing lonely and afraid.
A good honeymoon sterts with some plan-
ning. Will you go to a southern climate, or
get lost for a few days in a big city? Can you
afford a romantic tropical cruise, or will a
tent in the northern woods be hoarse for a few
special days?
It really doesn't matter where you are as
long as you're together and alone. If you'd
like to be in Bermuda for a week, there are
Sunday fli hts to take you there in 21 hours.
Some c uples married on a Saturday go to
Toronto . at night, and stay in a hotel before
catchin a Sunday flight to Hawaii, the
Pocon , Jamaica, or the Barbados, with
the cost beginning at $750 a person for one
week.
If those kinds of trips are out of your
league why not try the honeymoon capital,
Niagara Falls.
At Niagara -on -the -Lake, just 30 minutes
from the Falls, you'll find a quaint town
ready to be explored and enjoyed. There are
tine hotels, wonderful restaurants, and the
Shaw Festival from May to September.
You'll be in the heart of Ontario's wine coun-
try and be able to sample freely.
One hotel, the Pillar and Post Inn, has an
outdoor pool, sauna and golf within 1.6
kilometres. Manjr rooms have a working
fireplace and sitting room with a four-poster
bed covered with an Amish comforter.
The dining room has antique pine floors
and high ceilings with high backed church
pews for chairs. This room is attached to a
craft shop featuring Mennonite quilts and
crafts, pine furniture, antiques and hun-
dreds of interesting items.
Newlyweds are given a- bottle of cham-
pagne and vouchers for free breakfasts,
compliments of the establishment.

its own sweet pleasure to enjoy. For the cou-
ple who like the outdoors, there are hun-
dreds of lakes and rivers waiting to show
sunrises and sunsets of which memories are
made.
Cottages may be rented with all the lux-
uries of home for the less adventurous, and
the north also boasts major chain hotels for
great dining and accommodations. •
Nightly hotel rates in the North Bay area
are much lower than Southern Ontario rates
from May through October.
For entertainment you can enjoy nature
trails or fishing, an evening lake cruise on
the Chief Commanda II from May to Oc-
