REMEMBER THE DAY
YOU BEGIN
YOUR LIFE TOGETHER.
Ficin Italian mohair is the material of the Enrico Lumbrosi midnight blue tuxedo. It!s a new and
exclusive addition to Classy's 1985 selection and an excellent choice for a spring wedding.
Designers are big in formal wear
Why have designer labels on everything
from jeans to perfumes become so popular?
The answer is a complex one that involves
everything from taste to trust. But perhaps
most importantly, the consumer who makes
his choice based on a designer name is at-
tracted by the reputation of the product,
There is a person who stands behind the
name. If the product is inferior, then the
designer's own reputation is tarnished.
The trend to designer labels in formal
wear is well-established in that industry as
well.
Joseph Hecht, the name behind Classy
Formal Wear, says his two lines of designer
formal wear are proving very popular.
"We feature the Yves St. Laurent tuxedo
and the Enrico Lumbrosi designer label.
They are Classy exclusives and they are
among our most popular choices.
"Just as people have trusted Classy's
name for over 65 years, St. Laurent and
Lubrosi are names that have become
synonymous with high fashion styling,
finish, and fabric. A customer who wants to
rent one of these for his wedding, graduation
or special event knows that he's getting the
best."
More and more discerning people who
wear formal wear are choosing designer
labels. And the reason is simple — they look
great and have style that can't be beat. The
ones from Yves St. Laurent and Enrico
Lumbrosi are good examples.
Children are a charming touch...
from page 13
the children are small: call on them as
flowergirls or pages.
A young widow or divorcee may be
escorted by her father, of course, but a more
mature bride usually walks alone, preceded
by her attendant. She is rarely given away.
In a private ceremony, the bridal couple
may enter together and walk behind the
clergyman to the altar. l
A white dress is permissible if some color
is introduced in sash or flowers. More often,
second -time brides choose off-white or a
pastel and a corsage rather than a bouquet.
Attendants' dresses should co-ordinate
with that of the bride in length, style and
degree of dressiness, for the sake of the wed-
ding pictures if nothing else.
The groom's outfit complements the
bride's -- formal striped trousers if she
wears a long gown, business suit if she is in a
suit or afternoon dress.
The choice also depends on the hour of the
ceremony and the formality of the recep-
tion.
The reception can be as festive and lavish
as you wish, complete with receiving line,
toasts, music and dancing, but the cake
should not be white.
Friends except family and those very
close to you, are not obliged to give gifts the
second time around. But you've got all the
toasters, sheets and towels you need by this
time anyway. Friends and relatives will
wish you joy in other ways. You'll probably
be feted at a party or two and your parents
may hold a dinner in your honor. You can
also have a brunch or small celebration at
your home.
It's the second time around. There is only.
