In addition to providing 'records, books and magazines for hours of enjoyment, nine special children's programs are being held at a number of Huron County Library bran- ches. All programs are free of charge and everyone is welcome. • To get March Break off to a' great start, •Marian Doucette will. present "Mother Goose Tales" at the Goderich Branch Library on Sat. Mar. 9th at 10:00 a.m. In the afternoon, a second performance will be given at the Wingham • Branch Library at 1:30 p.m. Marian's lap and finger puppets will amuse and entertain children three years of age and older. The Blyth Festival Singers are rehearsing for a magnificent con- cert, featuring sacred music. The performance, entitled Glory to God, will be held at Ontario Street United Church in Clinton on March 24. (Shelley McPhee photo) Plenty, of activities for the March Break The Clinton Recreation Committee will be offering a variety of activities for youth of all ages during the upcoming March Break school holiday. Activities will include, shinny hockey, public skating patch time, video games, video game tournament and a cartoon festival. The Clinton Library will be staging a children's puppet show on March 13 (for more information please contact the Library at 482-3416 ). A program -flyer will . be dictrihuted to Clinton and area school children outlining • this program. Additional details will be posted at the Clinton Arena and on posters throughout town. But many Central Huron Secondary School (CHSS) students were -surprised by the loud, colorful band before them. By no means a 'dance cover band, Vigilants was a welcome change. The band is made up of Pete Wright ( drums, vocals), Mike DeFelice (guitars, vocals), Mark Meutorano (guitars, vocals), and Dave Yates ( bass )'. Together for seven years, Vigilants has played the Ontario and Quebec bar circuit. ,Their song's are of in- tense emotions. Said Yates, "We write what we feel." A few -of their favorite bands are Helix, Honeymoon Suite, Platinum Blonde, Def Leppard, Ratt, Van Hagen, and the Scor- pions. Their performance, despite a mid song blowout, was energetic establishing them as Clinton Public Hospital SPECIAL CORPORATION MEETING A Special Corporation meeting of the Clinton Public Hospital will be held on April 1, 1985 at 2000 hours (8:00 p.m.) in the hospital conference room.
