Mary Lou Hyde.
Bantams tie match
The Hensall Bantams came close to their
first loss on Feb. 16 when they tied 4 - 4 with
Huron Park. The teams were well matched
with the action hot and heavy during the
game.
The first period was scoreless. Hensall's
Jim Dickins scored unassisted in the second
period, to put his team ahead. Hensall open-
ed the third period with a blast as they
scored three goals within six minutes. They
were scored by Jason Imanse, Brian Moir
and Chris Campbell and Jim Dickins. Jim

Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson of Hensall
accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Talbot
of Kippen returned home from a month's
holiday in Phoenix, Arizona.

conducted worship in Carmel Presbyterian
Church on Sunday speaking on the topic
Trusting is Believing. Mrs. Dorothy Taylor
presided at the piano.
The Pineridge Chalet Snomobile Club
entertained the Big and Little Brothers of
Exeter on Sunday, taking them for
snowmobile rides and served them hot dogs
and hot chocolate.
Queensway News
The best cure for February Blues seems to
be the art of keeping busy. Residents have
been perfecting that art at Queensway
Nursing Home in spite of the wintry
weather.. Monday afternoon the ladies from
the Kippen United Church came in for our
weekly bingo game. Volunteers present
the Arnold Circle of the Presbyterian
Church in Hensall, brought 'cupcakes for
everyone. They visited from room to room.
The ladies present were Jan Baker, Marg
Baker, Pat Pollock, Marilyn Campbell,
Erlene Stewart and Lola Nixon.
Valentines Day was a gala event! Music
was provided byTerry Swerger and Eugene
Hartman from Smokey Hollow. Mrs. Mary
Roobol, Mrs. Dina Neevil, Mrs. Irene Dunn,
Brenda Snider and Barb McKenzie helped to
make the evening pleasurable.
Thanks also to guests from the Three
Links Seniors Club, Northcrest Apt. and
families for sharing the evening's
entertainment.
Mrs. Irene Finlayson won a jar of
cinnamon hearts as she correctly guessed
the number of hearts in the jar.
Thanks goes out to Dave and Mildred Kyle
for the table favours given on Valentine
Day.
The next Ceramic Club meeting will be
Feb. 20 at 10 a.m. Hope to see you there.

UCW meet
Unit II of the UCW held their February
meeting in the church Feb. 12. Diane,
Gerstenkorn .chaired the meeting and
opened. with a poem. The devotional . was
taken by Eleanor Mansfield.
Letters of thanks were read from
Rothhome and the Blind Mission
International. Leader of the Unit Mona
Alderdice conducted the business.
Upcoming events - March 1, World Day of
Prayer; March 4, UCW general meeting on
stewardship; April 10, Beef Barbecue; April
26, Confirmation Service.
Lorna Spencer chaired the Feb. 14
meeting of Unit I of Hensall, United Church.
Audrey, Joy.,nt gave the report of our foster
girl Lu. Rta Kee. Audrey Christie read the
minutes of the January meeting. Lorna
thanked the girls for their words of
sympathy. Offering was given and
dedicated.
Belva Fuss gave a few pointers of interest
on Korea and Audrey Joynt showed the film
Northern Korea. Audrey Christie had the
business. World Day of Prayer is March 1 at
2:30 p.m. in the Hensall United Church.
General meeting of UCW is March 4 at 8
p.m. The Beef Barbecue is April 10. Tickets
will be available real soon. The Spring
Regional meeting UCW will be held in St.
Marys on April 22. Belva Fuss gave a report
of the Huron Perth Presbyterial. Audrey
Christie read a poem.
