CLINTON - The Golden Radars' Senior Citizens' Club held their first meeting of 1985 on January 2 at their new facilities at the Town Hall. President Muriel Jones chaired the meeting, Minutes of the November 17 and December 5 meetings were read. The treasurer's report and card and flower reports were also given. President Jones reminded members that a public meeting will be held at the Town Hall on Jan. 14 at 7:30 p.m. to discuss the town's ONIP funding. A vote of thanks went out to Katimavik members who. helped the senior citizens move equipment into their new quarters at ELLIOTT A sincere "thank you” to all friends, neighbours and relatives for cards, gifts, 'calls,and visits dur- ing my recent time in hospital. McCall, 64, of Seaforth, died as a result of a farm accident Saturday, Dec. 29, 1984 at the home of his son Murray. Husband of the former Mary Louise Ireland, he was the father of John of Camp- bellville and Murray of McKillop Township and grandfather of Jason, Robin, Shawna, Marcy and Carali. Also surviving is one sister Isabel (Mrs. Frank Burke) of Wingham and one brother Ross of Morris Twp. He was predeceased by his parents. Arthur McCall and Irene McLaughlin. He was born and raised in Morris Township and later moved to McKillop Township. As well as being a successful farmer he was a cattle buyer for Canada Packers and owned and operated a fleet of trucks until incorporating in 1968. Mr. Mc- Call was also an avid horseman. Mr. McCall was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Brussels and Seaforth and a member of the Seaforth Lions Club. He was an active member of Duff's United Church of Walton until he moved to Seaforth five years ago and transferred to Northside United Church. His social interests were many. Funeral services were held Jan. 1, 1985 in Seaforth at the Whitney-Ribey Funeral .'Home with Rev. Vanslyke officiating. Pallbearers were Watson Reid, Vic Hargreaves, Herb Traviss; Jack Mcllwaiim, Wayne-Dolmage and John Williamson. ' Mrs. Jenkins -was born in Clinton.on June 5,4934. She was the daughter of George An- ' drew" Riehl. and the former .Mary Marguerite Rutledge, of Clinton. On July 4, 1952. she wed William Austin Holt Jenkins at a ceremony held at Ontario Street United Church in Clinton. Mrs. Jenkins was active in minor hockey and served on the executive for the Valley East Minor Hockey Association for 10 years. The Jenkins raised seven children, Mrs. Dennis (Bonita) Nash of Hamilton, Mrs. Robert (Debbie) Durst of Hamilton, Mrs. Paul (Maxine) Petrie of Port Dover, Jac- queline Martel of Capreol, William of Dunn- ville, Richard of Hamilton and Jeffrey of Hamilton. Mrs. Jenkins is survived by her children, her mother and two brothers, William Riehl of Clinton and Robert Riehl of Amherst, N.S. Funeral services were held at the Ball and Falconer Funeral Home in Clinton on January 9. Rev. Norman Pick 'from Ontario Street United Church officiated. Pallbearers were Mrs. Jenkins' sons, Richard and Jeffrey Jenkins of Hamilton, son -in-laws, Dennis Nash and Robert Durst of Hamilton, Paul Petrie of Port Dover and nephew Robert Riehl of Clinton. Honourary pallbearers were Mrs. Jenkins' four daughters, Bonita Nash, Deb- bie Durst, both of Hamilton, Maxine Petrie of Port Dover and Jacqueline Martel of Capreol. Interment was held at the Clinton Cemetery. Mary Everett Mary E. Everett, formerly of Goderich, died at Fremont Manor, Springfield Missouri on January 6, 1985 at the age of 94. She is predeceased by her husband and her only son Clyde E. Everett. She is surviv- ed by her daughter-in-law, Barbara Everett; five grandchildren, John, Joan, Bob, Jim and Sally; and ,10 great- grandchildren. The funeral was held in Colfax, Iowa on January 12, 1985 and burial at Greencastle Cemetery, Colfax, Iowa. Orville Seddon Orville Seddon, 70, a' retired resident of R.R. 1, Bayfield, died Saturday, December 29 at University Hospital, London. Born July 1, 1914 in Hamilton, Ont. Mr. ' Seddon was a member of the Baha''i Faith.. He was predeceased by his parents George Seddon and Janet (Lowe) Seddon, and two sisters, Marjorie Seymour and Meta Begg. He is survived by his wife Jeannie Seddon, one sister, Mrs. Charles (Helen) Land, Woodstock; a daughter Nancy and her hus- band Tom 'Flynn, R.R. 1, Bayfield; a son, Jeff and his wife Sue of :Goderich and six grandchildren, Jennifer, Tonia, Lisa, Nicole, Ryan and Adam. The funeral service was held January 1, 1985,. at the McCallum Funeral Home. t ' - Mrs. Dale Simms, a close family friend, delivered the eulogy. Also participating in the service were Joanne Tompkins,'Joanne Durst, Angela Brewster, Lisa Flynn, Keith Greenham , Cathy McKegney, Burnell Smith, Jamal Nikain, Gerry Durst, and Marg Raynor. The pallbearers were John Hart, Greg Hart, Doug Brewster, Don Brewster, Dave Colbourne, Gerry Durst and Brian Flynn. Interment was in Maitland Cemetery, Goderich. Heykoop-Wolfe Linda Heykoop and Steven Wolfe were mar- ried on Dec. 8, 1984 in the First Lutheran Church in Logan with Rev. Gerd Hoffman officiating. The bride is the daughter of Nick and Jennie Heykoop of Clinton, and the groom is the son of Garry and Janet Wolfe of Brodhagen. Irene Heykoop, sister of the bride was the maid of honour. Brenda Bos, cousin of the bride and Cindy Wolfe sister of the groom were the bridesmaids. The best man was Allan Lauze, friend of the groom. Michael Heykoop brother of the bride and Doug Wolfe, brother of the groom were the ushers. The reception was at the Brodhagen Community Centre. The couple now reside at R.R. 1, Bornholm. Prior to the wedding, showers for the bride were hosted by Mary Strickert, for the groom's family, Wilma Keykoop for the bride's family, Mary Vanden Hengel, Marg Naylor and Alice Wilson for friends and neighbours. Lougheed-Radley On November 17, 1984, Reverend Gordon Simmons of Saint Paul's Anglican Church, Clinton officiated at the marriage of Rickey Harold Lougheed and Teresa Rose Radley. The couple are the children of Ivan and Reta Lougheed of Glen Huron and Fred and Jane Radley of Clinton. Attending the bride and groom were matron of honour .Kathy Lougheed wife of Michael Lougheed, the best man to the groom.
