Lioness Club children's party a success
By Helen Owen
The annual Children's ,Christmas Party,
sponsored by the Bayfield Lioness Club, pro-
ved to be another happy occasion. Seventy-
five children were entertained with a movie
show, a visit from Santa and treats of ice
cream and a goodie bag. Sue Scrimgeour,
chairperson of the Activities Committee, did
a superb job of planning the event, along
witbmembers of her group.
Winner of the giant Christmas stocking
full of gifts donated by the .Lioness, was wan
by Audrey Raven. This too, is an annual
event.
The Lioness wish to express their sincere
thanks to The Nip 'n Tuek for their kindness
in donating all the ice cream which the
children consumed, and The Cheese Nook
for all the goodie bags which were donated
and made up by Dorothy Jessen. Also a
special thank you to Santa for his visit!
First and Second prizes for the best
decorated homes in Bayfield went to Harry
and Fern Baker and Leon and Mary
Hamacher respectively both of whom
returned the prize winning cheques, a
gesture which was much appreciated,
especially as they told the Lioness that just
