Picking perfect gift requires thought
`Tis the season to be jolly, 'fa, la, la, la, la,
la, la, la, la......
Ah, so we sing this Christmas Eve as the
presents set beneath the tree and the family
gathers together to celebrate this favourite
holiday.
Planning for a perfect Christmas takes
much forethought and serious thinking and
now is the time to do just that.
Arriving at a perfect gift is not an
especially easy task. The best place to begin
is with pencil and paper. Jot everyone's
name down and leave ample room for notes
to follow.
Now the planning begins. Consider those
names on your list and each person's likes
and dislikes, habits and hobbies, job related
interests and leisure time pursuits.
Take subtle hints from their conversa-
tions. When visiting their 'home, study it
with a keen key, you may get some ideas
here. Compare notes with other people in
your family. Call in at their favorite store,
sometimes clerks know just the gift to buy.
Most importantly of all, enjoy your
Christmas shopping. Don't look upon it as a
