W HITMORE
In grateful remembrance of Erlin Whitmore who
passed away suddenly December 12, 1982 and
Ralph Whitmore who passed away suddenly
March 13, 1972.
Some roads are longer than others,
And so it is with our lives.
Sooner or later in the journey
A bend in the road arrives.
The bend may be a wide arc,
To gradually take us from view,
Or a sharp right angled turn
Where we bid a sudden adieu.
On nearing the bendin the road,
We usually slacken our speed.
Along the way there are sign posts,
It would be well for us to heed.
We feel the urge to glance backward
Over the road left behind.
We are filled with mingled emotion
As scenes of the past come to mind.
When we near the bend in the road,
And time comes to soy goodbye,
We want you to be just as cheerful,
As if you heard us call "Hi".
We'll be just around the corner,
A few steps ahead of you
And the veil hanging between us
Will be as transient as the dew.
As the paths of our lives diverge,
We leave you our blessings`, dear fri d
We want you to go forward bray
Parting does not mean the end.
Maythe Lord ever be with you,
To comfort you when we are gone
There'll be no bend in the road,
When breaks that glorious down..
Lovingly remembered by wife and mother
Kathleen and daughter and sister Karen. -50x
