eentennial year.
"To -day's recipients are truly represen-
tative of the hundreds of thousands of other
'Volunteers who share our appreciation for
'their valuable service," said Mr. Eaton.

County residents and 25 to Perth County

BLYTH - The Brussels Gamblers ladies'
broomball team pulled off one of the biggest
upsets of the year in the Blyth Broomball
League, when they knocked off Lucknow 1-
0 on December 6th.
It marked the first time Lucknow has
been defeated this season, and also the first
time a goal has been scored against them.
The win- improved Brussels' season record
to only four wins and four losses, but they
have won three of their last four games.
It was an especially satisfying triumph for
Brussels as they had only nine players for
the game. Barb Bragg scored the game's
only goal for Brussels, with five minutes re-
maining in the first period, set up by
Patricia Willie. Brussels' defence made the
one goal lead stand up as they slowed the
game down and received strong goaltending
from Sandra Morrison, who posted her
fourth shutout.
In further action on December 6, two over-
time goals by Karen Souch lifted Auburn to
a 2 - 0 victory over the Goderich Har -

Because "landowners using the drain

will pay for the work," the township is
holding the meeting to determine the extent
of the work on the drain to co-ordinate the
drain cleaning.
The council decided to hold the meeting on
Jan. 22, 1985 with the time to be set by the
clerk. Clerk Lear suggested that the
meeting will probably be held in the
afternoon of that day.
