tough international marketplace, Many

compete. Leaders of the business com-
munity - both labour and management -
have come to recognize that the contin-
ued vitality of our economy depends
largely on our ability to increase our
productivity. As one part of its effort to
close the Productivity Gap, the Govern-
ment of Ontario has introduced the
Management Productivity Improvement
Program - an innovative effort to help
you boost the productivity, profitability,
and competitiveness of your business.
The Management Productivity Improve-
ment Program was developed by busi-
ness for business. Conestoga College

provement - Human Resources will help

Burnout
Almost no one today is immune from, the
phenomenon of burnout. It contributes
to the decline in human productivity and
results in organizational inefficiency and
enormous dollar loss. For the individual,
burnout extracts the high price of
personal ineffectiveness and unhappi-
ness.
Combining inquiry with personal stra-
tegies, this course looks at various
human events that cause burnout. Case
studies, examples ,and anecdotes allow
the student to apply the principles to his
or her life. The facilitator examines the
past for the cultural changes that have
,resulted in the problems of the present
and suggests ways to look at and to
manage the constant change we face.
