Sessions are scheduled according to
demand. If, after attending the Informa-
tion Session, you decide to pursue the
program, the fee is $100.00. Sessions
are arranged on an individual basis in
the evening. For more information,
telephone 653-7460 between the hours
of 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. Monday
through Thursday and 12:00 noon to
4:00 p.m. on Friday.
CO/AP is offered at Doon, Guelph and
Waterloo.
RECOGNITION OF STUDIES
Certificate
The College will issue a CERTIFICATE
to adult learners who have been offi-
cially accepted into an approved Pro-
gram (e.g. Health Care Aide Program)
and' who have successfully completed
all course requirements of the Program.
The symbol C beside the Program
title indicates that the College will
issue a Certificate for successful
completion of all of the course re-
quirements of the Program.
Cumulative Achievement Report
The College will issue a CUMULATIVE
ACHIEVEMENT REPORT to indicate
the student's successful completion of
the requirements of each course which
is part of an approved Program, provid-
ed the _student has been officially
accepted into the Program.
The symbol R beside the course title
indicates that the College,will issue a
Cumulative Achievement Report for
successful completion of the course.
Affirmation
The College will issue an AFFIRMA-
TION to recognize the student's suc-
cessful completion of a course in which
his/her grasp of the course objectives.

an Affirmation for successful comple-
tion.of the course.
Statement Of Participation
The College will issue a STATEMENT
OF PARTICIPATION upon request to
indicate the student's attendance and
participation in a course in which the
student is not formally assessed.
The symbol S beside the course title
indicates that the College will issue a
Statement of Participation.
For many courses, the College issues
neither an Affirmation nor a Statement
of Participation. •
The symbol N beside the course title
indicates that no official recognition
is issued.
Appeals
A student who is dissatisfied with an
academic decision may lodge an ap-
peal, as follows:
Appealing a Grade Decision from
Faculty
Your written appeal rhust be received
by the College within seven calendar
days of the decision. Note: You may
not appeal to improve a passing grade.
Appeal is permissible only in regard to
a failing grade.
Appealing a Report from the
Registrar's Office
Write to the Registrar indicating that
you feel an error has been made. The
complaint must be received by the
College within six months of the date
on the report.
Appealing a Discontinuance
The academic administrative unit re-
sponsible for your program initiates
the discontinuance. You must appeal
to the Director the same day as your
notice of discontinuance.
Other Complaints
Other complaints or concerns should
be brought to the attention of the
Continuing Education Manager.
Human Rights Code
The College recognizes and abides by
the Ontario Human Rights Code, 1981.
EMPLOYER/EMPLOYEE
PROGRAMS
TRAINING IN BUSINESS AND
'INDUSTRY (TIBI)
The TIBI program is funded by the Board of Industrial Leadership and
Development (BILD) to assist Ontario employers/employees to train and/or
upgrade the work force. Your company or association may qualify for TIBI
support to offset your training costs.
If you are conducting in-house training, hiring outside training consultants
or sending your employees to training sessions, contact the Manager of
'Continuing Education at your local campus to see if you qualify for financial
assistance.
ONTARIO TRAINING
INCENTIVE PROGRAM (OTIP)
The Province of Ontario, through the Board of Industrial .Leadership and
Development (BILD) and the Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology
supplements Federal training support programs with additional incentives
when the training takes place in your workplace. In short term training
situations in selected occupations, your company could receive a bonus of
$1,000 if you hire and train an employed or laid -off worker.
In long term training situations in selected occupations, both the employer
and trainee can receive bonuses at .the end of each training year. The
employer's bonus applies only to years in which Federal funding is not ap-
plicable.
In addition to the above, you, as an employer, may be eligible to receive up
to $1,000 for a familiarization grant to hire and train a new employee. For

ONTARIO CAREER ACTION
PROGRAM (OLAP)
This is an Ontario Government program funded by the Board of Industrial
Leadership and Development (BILD) to assist young people, age 16 to 24
years and 3 months out of school, to get work experience towards that
