Skate-a-thon set for Saturday Excitement is growing for the Blyth Skate-a-thon on Saturday, November 3. If you need a pledge sheet there are still a few left at Scrimgeour's Family Market. Anyone who skates is invited to participate. Following are the Skate-a-thon Rules: 1. Six hours -of skating (8& up) . 2. Two hours of skating (7 & under). 3. Hand in pledge sheets before going on ice. 4. Must stay on the ice (off only at Break Times). 5. Please obey the traffic controllers. 6. No tag, racing, crack the whip, etc. 7. When finished skating, pick up your pledge sheet and receive your award. 8. All pledged money to be handed in on Nov. 17 at the arena. Financing for the heat pump, deh-amidifer and air conditioner at the Blyth Community Centre was reduced recently thanks to a $500 donation from the Londesboro Lions Club.
