underway with magic shows, performed by a young
Hamilton performer, Tom Kubinek. The shows will be
held in the Clinton Town Hall and times are: 10:30-11 a.m.,
Kindergarten to Grade 3;
1:15-2 p.m., Grades 4 to 6;
2:15-3 p.m., Grade 7 to 8.
Parents and tots are invited to attend the first morning
show.
After watching the community Christmas tree and the
store windows light up on Friday evening, the public is in-
vited to take in a drama performance that will take you
from 200 years ago to the present times. This will be put on
by a theatrical group from Hamilton.
The 8 p.m. show will be performed at the Town Hall. The
performance lasts for 50 minutes, so there is still plenty of
time to do some shopping when it's over.
Santa Claus coming
Santa Claus arrives in Clinton on December 8! Two
children's Christmas parties have been arranged in an-
ticipation of his arrival.
The children will receive candies and other party
favors, courtesy of local service clubs.
During the Christmas season, . Clinton stores will' be of-
fering extended shopping hours for your convenience.
After Christmas Day festivities, many stores will be
participating in the Annual Boxing Day Sale, scheduled to
take place on December 27.
Be sure to join Clinton merchants in November and
Decemberine to celebrate our province's heritage and get
in the spirit of Yuletide Season.
Clinton merchants helped crown Karen Cook, the 1984
Queen of the Fair. The 1983 Queen, Sharon East turned
over the title. The June event is sponsored by local
businesses and organizations. Ten local girls vied for the
title in 1984.
