Robert and Cohen The first performance will be Tuesday, October 30 when violinist Lucie Robert and pianist Jeffrey Cohen take to the stage, Lucie Robert began studying violin at the age of five. A two-time winner of the Mon- treal Symphony Orchestra Competition, and a winner of the Joseph Joachim Internta- tional Competition in Austria, she has been heard throughout Canada and Austria and has performed on several radio broadcasts. Pianist Jeffrey Cohen is a graduate of In- diana University and is currently studying for his Master's Degree with Menachem Pressler. He is a recipient of many prizes, including the prestigious Battista Memorial Award, from Indiana University. TrIOBeWlaim The seceinl concert, on November 21, will feature l'po- %wimp', a flute, violoncello and plane ensemble Trio Bovtltuna, has, been called one of the Most unique chamber ensembles in Canada. It features unusual instrumentation and an innovative presentation. This talented group pt ladies presents rare genres by lesser knOwn composers. The trio presents a repertoire to; please audiences of divert* musical tastes. The Howkurn Trio has written several musical scores for both TV and film, and they have just recorded their first album. Lyracord Lyracord, a harp and voice, duo will per- form hi Bayfield on March26, 198,5, In 1979, Gianetta Bard and James McLean formed the group Lyracord. Since then, they have appeared on CBC and at the Guelph Spring Festival. They have toured throughout Ontario under the auspices of Youth and Music. Lyracord's concert includes songs and arias both original and transcribed for harp solos, all drawn from three centuries of music.
