CLINTON - The Clint° Kinettes held
their first meeting on Sep ember 11 at the
home of Presidnet Doroth Boughen. and threen
Kinettes, four Honorary
guests enjoyed a delicio lasagna dinner
prepared by President Dor thy.
The club is working ver hard organizing
services for their comm ity. The annual
Blood Donor Clinic will be held on Wednes-
day, November 14 at CHSS rom 1:30 - 4 p.m.
and 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. The inettes sponsor
this clinic in conjunction ith the Sorority
and everyone is looking fo the usual strong
support.
Once again, the clown suits are renting
quickly for Hallowe'en. If' anyone is in-
terested in reserving a suit, be sure to call
Dorothy Boughen, as there is a limited supp-
ly.
The statement from th June 50 - 60's

CLINTON - For the first time in the club's
history the Clinton Lions held a Seafood Fest
on September 7, at the Goderich Township
Hall. It was an unqualified success. All of
the 250 tickets were sold and all attending
enjoyed the lobster, oysters, salmon steaks
and fish chowder.
The Lions Club is •considering a repeat
performance next year, likely the Friday
following the opening of school.
At the executive meeting on September
18, several different money raising projects
were discussed and the next one coming up
is the annual sale of Grey Cup tickets. These
should be available soon for sale at $2 a
ticket.

volved once again in the Easter Seal Cam-
paign and the Telethon which this past year
were such a big success and raised approx-
imately $5,000 combined to assist crippled
children in the area.
The next regular meeting of the Lions
Club was held September 25, at the White
Carnation in Holrnesville. The club is
always looking to increase its membership
and if you feel that you have something to of-
fer to the organization, kindly contact one of
the members who will arrange to have you

Eleven members from the Clinton Branch
attended zone convention in Seaforth on
September -16, at Which time Bonnie Turner
was presented with a plaque from Dominion
Command for her 1st prize winning essay.
This plaque is to be placed at Central Huron
Secondary School, and was in turn
presented to Tom Fox, Vice Principal of the
school, by Bonnie. Congratulations again
Bonnie.
Comrades Dorothy Flagg and Rosemary
Armstrong returned full of knowledge from
the 41st Convention held in Niagara Falls. A
full report on the business at the convention
will be presented at a later date.
