It was an unqualified success. All of the 250 tickets were sold and all attending enjoyed the lobster, oysters, salmon steaks and fish chowder. The Lions Club is •considering a repeat performance next year, likely the Friday following the opening of school. At the executive meeting on September 18, several different money raising projects were discussed and the next one coming up is the annual sale of Grey Cup tickets. These should be available soon for sale at $2 a ticket. Eleven members from the Clinton Branch attended zone convention in Seaforth on September -16, at Which time Bonnie Turner was presented with a plaque from Dominion Command for her 1st prize winning essay. This plaque is to be placed at Central Huron Secondary School, and was in turn presented to Tom Fox, Vice Principal of the school, by Bonnie. Congratulations again Bonnie. Comrades Dorothy Flagg and Rosemary Armstrong returned full of knowledge from the 41st Convention held in Niagara Falls. A full report on the business at the convention will be presented at a later date.
