A word of caution - those using water out
of wells should seeto it that they are cleaned
out regularly. At this season, the supply in
them runs lower and the contamination, if
any, . is reduced to a concentrated form
• which is unfit to use. Make sure also, that
the covering is perfectly tight.
A visitor suggests that it would be a good
• idea for the council to give the police force in
Clinton, power to search for the little ham-
mers that are carried in the hearts of some
of the citizens in Clinton.
The railway commission has issued an
order that all railways must be erected and

side of the highway.

third in the province in general proficiency

Second scholarship in math and classic,
moderns and maths, and fourth for Second

Whether it is owing to the possibility of the
government increasing the duty on flour
and thus make a demand for millers we do
not know, but the fact remains, that
Goderich Township has added to its popula
tion two millers. We congratulate Mr. Geo.
Miller in now being the happy parent of
twins. Mother and new arrivals are doing
well.
