Brad Vanstone was second with Linlor
Rodger in a 2.03.;2 'Mile for Holmesville
Valley Farms in the sixth.
Joellas Knight, owned, by Rill Bennett of
Seaforth, finished third in the ninth. Bennett
Landing, owned by George Feagan of
Goderich, won his fifth of the year in 2.07.3
at Hanover Raceway on September 8, while
Mary T Henry finished second in a 2.07.2
mile in the third for owner Arnold Kerr of
Goderich.
B. Js Nyota, owned by George Telford of
Bayfield, was second at Dresden Raceway
on Sunday afternoon.
Two eliciting divisions of the $28,598 On-
tario Sires Stakes for three-year-old trotting
colts and geldings were featured on the final
night, September 6, at Goderich Raceway
with Robins Wonder setting a new 2.05.3
track record for trotters.
Judy Tuck, and driver Bill Troy had held
the record following a 2.06 mile in June 1983.
Paul MacDonell, driver of Robins Wonder, a
gelding by Dream of Glory -Robins Baroness
by Baron Hanover, owned by trainer Jack
Williams of Orono and Douglas Gamsby of
Guelph, was presented with a $100 cheque
by assistant race manager John Donatis for
breaking the record.
Robins Wonder has a 2.02.4mark already
from six wins, two seconds and two thirds,
good for earnings of $49,909 to date this year.
Charles Lawson finished second with A C
Goldy for the Elmvale Sales Stables Ltd. of
Barrie, while Wm. Fritz was third with J
Surge for the Forbes Cattle Co. of Walker-
ton.
J B Surge has been in the first three in all
10 starts this year, good for a 2.03.2 record
and $68,580 to date.
General D Brook led all the way to take
the' first division in 2.08.1 with Jim McLure
on the bike for trainer Neil Flear and the
Flear Stable Ltd. of Rosemont.
The three-year-old gelding by the Nevele
•Pride sire Laryngitis - Glady A Brooks by
Roman Brook has had eight wins, three
seconds and two thirds from 13 starts this
year; for earnings to date of $85,043. He has
a 2.03.4 record taken earlier this year at
Woodstock and with the $50,597 he picked up
in 1983 his lifetime earnings total $135,640.

Brook and • his two-year-old brother,
Gladiator, also a top contender in, the On-
tario Sires Stakes this year, is Joan Graham
of Brampton, who was married to the late

year in 2.09 for co-owner Randy McLean and
Pand S. Lerikos of Exeter, while, Jack
Duckworth was second with He's Special for
Carman Kerr of Goderich. John Muir finish-
ed third driving Jay Bee.Scamp for Jean
and Ben Feagan of Goderich. ,
Highland Ovation; owned and trained by
_Gerald Schenk of Crediton, won his second
from 15 starts with John Muir up in the 2.06
• mile in the third. Bob Daer,took second with
Lissas . Girl, co -owned by Ron Daer of.
Goderich, while Wm. 0. (Ted) McLean
finished third with Deep Run Super .fOr his
wife, Alma.
• Randy McLean drove Garmor Enuff to his
seventh win of the year for Tom McLean of
Goderich, while Dale Kennedy was second
with Becky Hi for Joe Lane of Seaforth and
Ross Battin third with Poplar Lynn for Les
Campbell of Seaforth.
With only six starters . after Nor Lea
Strikerin, a two-year-old Strike Out filly
owned by Norman and Leona Amos of
Kirkton and Gordon Clark of London; fell on
the backstretch while warming up before
the race began, the fifth finally got under-
way, only to have Andes Becky with owner,
Arnold Campbell of Seaforth driving, go
'down just past the starting line.
As. a result the winning horse Linlor
Willee, timed in 2.12.4 with Brad Vanstone
up for Holmesville Valley Farms Of Clinton
was placed last for interference, and the se-
cond place finisher, Margie Lester, owned
by driver John and Pearl Lester, owned by
driver John and Pearl Lester was declared
the winner.

win in 1984 for owner Lionel Kloss of
Goderich; while John Muir took second with
Violas Woe for Ben Feagan of Goderich in
the 2.06.2 mile.
Fred Sadler finished fourth with Rustic
Helene for Charles and Clara Brindley of
Goderich.
• Handy Slipper, owned by Carl and Grant
Fisher of Goderich, finished first with John
Muir driving, in the eighth but was dis-
qualified for interference and placed last
after Penns Smart Kid and G G Columbo
broke stride past the half.'
As a result Linlor Rodger with Brad
Vanstone up for Holmesville Valley Farms
of Clinton moved up from second and was
• declared the winner. Robert Windsor and
Marble Head were placed second, while
Ross Battin was third with Peter Wave for
Bert McBride of Goderich.
Ross Battin returned to win the tenth, and
the final race of the year at Goderich, with
Billy Skipper, also owned by Bert McBride,
timed in 2.09.3 for the mile. John Muir took
second with Scrambler Direct for Robert
Sim% of London, while Ray Mothers finished
third with Lady- Scarlet for Donald Williams
of Forest and Kevin Williams of Goderich.
