Setons Choice, -owned by Clare Cadman of Parkhill with Fred Sadler on the bike, while Ross Battin took second with Hansard for Ron Brintnell and Gary Birmingham off Exeter. Third was Direct Roger, raised by Lorne Tyndall of Clinton, but now owned by Arnold Lindenfield of Exeter. Clarence Young of Lucan also gave his Windscreen a new 2:06.3 mark, with Ron Williamson second with DLs Hope for Bruce Lamont of Seaforth;' and Randy McLean third, driving Kushinda for Robert Huntley of Bayfield. John Muir finished fifth with Jennifers Beauty for Case Buffinga of Clinton. Dave Wall gave Romeos Girl a 2:05.3 win in the sixth for trainer Michael Horner and the Wayne Horner Stables of St. Marys. Wm. (Ted) McLean gave Deep Run Super, co - owned by his wife Alma of Goderich, his second win in a row with a 2:08 mile, over Bob Daer with Lissas Girl, co -owned by Ron Daer of Goderich.
