of Chatham, won the $2,500 Mp)lsons Pace in
2:00.4 at Clinton Raceway on Sunday
afternoon. The speedy four-year-old mare
by Jonquil. Hanover - Skip Skip by Greentree
Adios, was driven to victory by Dave Wall,
Dovers Dottie has lifetime earnings to date
of $331,689 and a 1;58.1 record.
Ray McLean finished second with
Starigrad for Jack McVicar and Clare
Lightfoot of Alvinston, while Ross Battin
wasthird driving • Spring Murray for
Clarence Beitz of Mildmay.
The secondary feature, a $1,200 Preferred
Pace, went to Robert Taylor with A Certain
Smile, owned by Laurence Taylor of
Thamesford. His tune of 2.02 was a new
record for the seven-year-old Don Parker
pacer.
Gerald Sloan was second with Wayward
Wind, trained at Clinton by Paul Taylor, for
the BGR Stables of Blyth.
Dave Wa11 took third with Dania Hanover
for Boyce Stables of London, followed by
Fred Sadler with Country Topper and John
Muir driving Red Oak Express.
A new 2:02.4 record in the second went to
the three-year-old Seton Hanover colt. Setons
Choice, -owned by Clare Cadman of Parkhill
with Fred Sadler on the bike, while Ross
Battin took second with Hansard for Ron
Brintnell and Gary Birmingham off Exeter.
Third was Direct Roger, raised by Lorne
Tyndall of Clinton, but now owned by Arnold
Lindenfield of Exeter.
Clarence Young of Lucan also gave his
Windscreen a new 2:06.3 mark, with Ron
Williamson second with DLs Hope for Bruce
Lamont of Seaforth;' and Randy McLean
third, driving Kushinda for Robert Huntley
of Bayfield.
John Muir finished fifth with Jennifers
Beauty for Case Buffinga of Clinton.
Dave Wall gave Romeos Girl a 2:05.3 win
in the sixth for trainer Michael Horner and
the Wayne Horner Stables of St. Marys.
Ross Battin finished second with Mitola Hi
for Joe Lane of Seaforth, while John Muir
took third driving Highland Ovation for
Gerald Schenk of Crediton.
Dale Kennedy drove Armbro Bryan,
owned by Rene Dupuis of Seaforth, to a
second place finish in a 2:03.4 mile in the
seventh. Dale returned to win the eighth
With Countella, that he co-owns with Gordon

Princes Sister . won the $3,000 final of the
Clinton-Goderich Pacing Series with owner
Ross Battin of Monktbn up in the 2:02.2 mile.
This was also a new record for the four-
year-old mare by. Good Bye Columbus -
Queen Helene by Truluck, beating out
Freddie Flanagan, with Rick Hodgins
driving for Mac Hodgins of Parkhill and
River Mate with co-owner Brent Vincent up
for Thomas Vincent of Allenford. ' Fred
Sadler finished fourth with Wayward Wind
for the BGR Stables of Blyth.
The Clinton - Goderich Pacing Series was
co-sponsored by the Ontario .Harness
Horsemen's Association and the winner
Princes Sister wns presented with the
Goderich Trotting Association blanket. This
win was the fourth of the night for Ross
Battin.
Battin started in the third with Slick Ferra
for Cecil Crandon of St. Marys, came back
in the four to give Billy Skipper, a seven-
year-old Scram pacer owned by Bert
McBride of Goderich, his first win of the
year and a new 2:08.1 record, then won the
sixth with Highland Success for Dan
Morrissey of Ailsa Craig in 2:07.1. Wm.
(Ted) McLean gave Deep Run Super, co -
owned by his wife Alma of Goderich, his
second win in a row with a 2:08 mile, over
Bob Daer with Lissas Girl, co -owned by Ron
Daer of Goderich.
John Muir finished third with Dallas Kate
for Carl and Grant Fisher of Goderich in a
2:10.2 mile in the second, followed by Randy
McLean with CP Kwik and Tammy Watt
with Dallas Doll.
Brad Vanstone of Goderich took third with
Prince Bye Bye, ahead of Tammy Watt with
Mr. Super Crain and Randy McLean with
Dinos Lady.
Ray Mathers was second with Lady
Scarlet for Donald Williams of Forest and
Kevin Williams of Goderich in the fourth,
while John Muir took fourth with Bennett
