Country Fair Day a success
By Sharon Stadelmann
The' Blyth Memorial Hall" grounds were
buzzing with activity last Saturday. It .was
the Blyth Summer Festival's Country Fair
DThere were bargains galore. One lady was
thrilled with her,"Made in Seollant4new

nothing in the -Clothing' Dept. Lgdies`'deft
with the needle were attracted to generous
yardage of ,brand new dress materials
available in "Grandma's Attic". _.
There was fun for all ages. Youngsters
fished intently at the Fish Pond.
Cheers went up for those holding their
cakes high - and all for real, too, in the Cake
Walk. In the area of the Dunking Machine, ,
an - innovation which proved profitable
(three hits for a dollar), shouts of laughter
and sound of splashing arose when
volunteer victims, high on their perch, went
down.
One busy lady these days, Katherine
Kaszas, the new Artistic Director for '85
really enjoyed her dunkings, refreshing on a
hot day; This is the third year for the fair.
Directors of the Blyth Summer Festival
plan their program far ahead, and therefore
with their assistants enjoy the day when it
arrives. Joan Chandler of Belgrave manned
