top grades
LIN. ON } Academic awards, and
diplomas were presented to top students at
Central Huron. Secondary School last month.
The awards covered 43 different subjects •
studied at all grade levels.
Family Studies
Chris Botermans took the Grade 9 "and 10
awards in the the clothing section. Roxanne
Martin (Won the Grade 9 award in the
clothing section and Bonnie Turner was the
Grade 10 winner for foods.
Janine Mayhew took the Grade 11 and 13
awards.
Physical and
Health Education
Award recipients were: Grade 9 - Ron
McKay and Julie Howson; Grade 10 - Don
Hearn and Christa Lelnlen; Grade 11 - Bob
Rogers and Lisa Watt; Grade 12 - Dan Reidy
and Sherry Chuter. •
English
Grade 9 award winners in English studies
were Darlene Smith, Kim Deline, Mary
Jane Parsons and Roxanne Martin. In
Grade 10 Dale Reid, Mike McGregor,
Lorelei Robinson and Bonnie Turner were
top students.
Susan Van Egmond and Jeff McNairn
were Grade 11 award winners, while 'ferry
Dobson and Janet Tench earned Grade 12
honors. Randy Lobb was the top Grade 13
English student.
Art and Music
Art awards went to: Grade 9 •- Lan
Racksasouk; Grade 10 - Don Hearn and
Bonnie Turner; Grade 11 - Diana Nyman;
Grade 12 - Jerry Benjamins.
In music, Grade 9 student Jacqui Draper
and Gwen Holland, Grade 10, earned top
honors.
Science,
David McKellar, Darrell Faber and Julie
Howson earned highest marks 4n Grade 9,
while Grade 10 awards went to Laurie Graf,
Brenda Nesbitt and Barbara Brand.
Wanda Heron took highest marks in
Grade 11 biology and Jeff McNairn had .the
top physics standing. Grade 12 chemistry'
awards went to Ray Verberg and Neil Ryan
and environmental science to Dennis Fox.
Neil'Ryan had top Grade 13 biology marks.
The chemistry award went to Wes Delve and
physics honors went to Steven Roorda.
History
In Grade 9 history awards were presented
to Liana Chevrie, Shane Snell and Steven
Beane; Grade 10 Carlos Brand and Don
Hearn; Grade 11 - Joanne Layton, Brian
Phillips and Sue' Gross; Grade 12 - Phil
Stelzer, Jeff McNairn and Janine Mayhew;
Grade' 13 -Karen Cook.
Mathematics
