Edgar family
strengthens .roots,

BELGRAVE. Forty relatives attended
the 36th annual Edgar reunion on July 8 at
Riverside Parkin Wingham. Relatives from
Goderich, Tavistock, Corrie, Teeswater,
Blyth, Lucknow, Wingham and Belgrave
attended.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bruinsrna and
family and Mr. and Mrs. Allister Green all
of Goderich were in charge of the sports.
Grandpa Edgar's Blessing was given by
Kenneth MacDonald of Teeswater ands all
sat down to a smorgasbord supper.
President Alvin Mundell, held a short
business session. The treasurer's and
secretary's report of last year's reunion was
given by Mrs. George Gibson of Wingham:

memory of Mary Grain:
The 1985 reunion will be held on July 14 at
Riverside Park.
Bride honored
A community shower was. held, in the
Belgrave WI Hall on July 3 for Marlene
McGee.
Sybil Chandler welcomed everyone. Celia
Chandler provided piano solos and

gave several announcements.
Bert Lyon introduced Rev. Snihur who in
turn introduced his wife, Caron Snibpr and
'son, Gray. He said he was pleased to be in
Londesboro and he felt that this was where
God wanted him to be.
The junior teacher was Edith Taylor and
the offering was dedicated by Marion Snell.
The men's choir sang and the organist was
Lisa Duizer.
A psalm reading was given by Brenda
Radford. Rev. Snihur gave a message about
a treasure worth searching for.
Service of Induction
President of the Huron -Perth Presbytery,
Myrtle Waikom and organization secretary,
Brian Elder, met with the official board on
July 8 for the induction service of Rev. Dave
Snihur.
Ushers were John Hoggart `Dave Over-
boe, Elgin Penfound and Lorne Hunking,
also involved in the service was Rev. James
Vanslyke. The sermon was given by Rev.
John Roberts of Belgrave who spoke of the
spirit of God at work.
The junior girls choir sang and the
organist was Lisa Duizer.

Donna Bieman gave a reading and Gloria
Daw and her daughter Cathy conducted a
musical contest.

aunt; Laura Johnston and also visited with

Douglas Bieman of Kincardine spent the
weekend with his mother, Agnes Bieman.

turn used paper into new paper. Follow the
directions below and learn how to; recycle paper,
To make paper you need:
* large bowl
• egg beater
• starch
* used paper
• 5" square of window screen
41/ hot water
.irections :
1. Tear used
in bowl.
2. Fill bowl
of starch.
3. Let paper soak for 30 minutes.
4. Beat until soft and mushy to make pulp
5. Dip screen into bowl. `
6. Dnp excess water back into bowl.
7. Carefully turn screen upside down onto news

grace, and invited all who attended the ser-
vice to the Sunday School rooms. An, in-
troduction by Mr. and Mrs. Garnet Wright
was given to the minister and his wife. A
guest book was signed and lunch was serv-
ed.
Personals
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Allen
Shaddick who celebrated their 40th wedding
anniversary on July 7. A large number of
friends attended the reception held at the
Clinton Legion Hall.
Mr. and -Mrs. Bill Harris of Sault St.
Marie, visited with Shobbrook relations on
the weekend. On Sunday, Gordon Harris,
grandson of the Shobbrooks, travelled from
Listowel to attend the Shobbrook family reu-
nion at the conservation park in Clinton. Mr,
and Mrs. Colin Paterson and Katie of Lon-
don spent the weekend with parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Bob Burns.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Scott and Jean Scott
spent the weekend with cousins, Mr. and

The Burns UCW met at the home of Kay
Konarski on July 4, with 13 members and
one visitor present.
Jean Scott opened the meeting and Mrs.
Ida Leiper played the piano. Kay Konarski
gaye readings. Jean Scott led in prayer and
Mrs. Trudy Pollard gave a reading.
