The float featured the theme 1984 Telethon and the 1984 Tammy for Clinton, Theresa Wammes, and her mother, rode on the.float with long time .Lion member Stuart Taylor, and several of the Lions' wives, who manned the telephone while several other Lions gave away candy and balloons to the children along the parade route. Lion Steve Fraser, Easter Seal and Telethon Chairman, reported that of the $2,861 pledged from the Clinton area, there is only $67 left uncollected, and while this percentage of 2.34 is below the provincial average, he appeals to those who have not sent a cheque to match their pledge to do so. c/o Box 655 in Clinton, or to drop•it off at the local Royal Bank branch.
