Marilyn McDonald read an item on the theme of leadership; Each ,gne was given a candle which was lit to represent the light given. from Christ. Mrs, McGavin was pianist for the singing of the hymns. . Ruth Axtmanno leader of the Christian Leadership- Development of the Huron Perth Presbytery was guest speaker. Mrs. Axtmann said that In order to determine who is a leader, you must follow the leader. The units were asked to think of someone who greatly influenced their dives. Mrs. McGavin thanked the guest speaker by presenting her With an envelope of money donated from the UCW. The meeting was turned over to Marion Godkin, first vice-president, who opened the segment with a poem. Mrs. McDonald assisted Mrs. Godllin by reading the minutes, and a thankyou card from Mildred Traviss. The secretary reported that a very suc- cessful garage and bake sale was held last Saturday. The unit made almost $50Q.. Articles were read from the resource cen- tre, the closing date is June 22 alio orders are to be in before that date. Someone is needed to type the Sunday Church bulletin. The Brownie packs had parties and the Guides went to Canada's Wonderland the first part of June. The parent and daughter banquet was held on June 12 at the Legion. For the summer 22 girls from the district are going to Camp Keewaydin. The Guiding Movement would like to thank everyone for their support. Next year Guiding is celebrating 75. years.
