birthday, all, enjoyed the social time
afterwards with lunch being served by Edith
Reid and her committee. Birthday cake was
served and brought the evening to a
successful close.
Rains don't dampen UCW spirits
CLINTON-Heavy rains on June 6 did not
dampen the spirits of eight carloads of
Wesley Willis United Church Women, when
they journeyed to Kingsbridge, to the sum-
mer home of President Mildred McAdam,
where a potluck dinner was held.
A highlight of the evening was the presen-
tation of Life Membership pins and cer-
tificates to seven past presidents, namely,
Ina Mae Durst, Helen Davies, Greta
Nediger, Ruth Bond, Kay Wise, Norma
Grigg and Donna Wood. It was noted that
Bess Fingland a Life Member, was the
charter president of the UCW in 1962.
Elaine Bechtel, Marie Blacks, -Audrey
Kemp and Marilyn Parr attended the
, Westminster Weekend for United Church
Women at London in May. Mrs. Parr gave a
resume of the inspirational and thought-
provoking program. Final plans were made
for the June 23 yard and bake sale.
Peggy Menzies reminded everyone of the
things that could be done in the "hazy,
crazy, lazy days" of summer in preparation
for the November bazaar.
Ladies were reminded of the Wesley
Willis- I-lohnesville Church Service and pic-
nic dinner at Camp Menesetung on Sunday
June 17.
