The band are best known in Goderich for their Sunday evening concerts that originated 16 years ago. This year the band has scheduled 12 Sunday concerts and they have invited 10 bands from places like Paris, Stratford and Mount Forest to perform. Apart from a special trip to perform in Nova Scotia last summer, the band plays primarily in the Goderich and surrounding area. They are a concert band who play mainly brass and reed instruments. The band's 25 members who range in age from teen to senior citizens, wear pale, blue jackets and navy blue pants. Their director is accomplished sax- ophonist Blake Smith. Don McMillan, trombonist and past president, said the band will be performing at the Friday, May 18 evening show at Klompen Feest. They will also march in the giant parade on Saturday, May 19. At the Fri- day show the band will play concert pieces. They plan to perform a.series of broadway musicals, swing and rock pieces for the Klompen Feest audience. "I guess you could say we are a con- . cert band with a heavy emphasis on, broadway music," said Dr. McMillan.
