Clinton, has always come easy.
The 14 -year-old has been involved in
step dancing; a very fast pace, foot
stomping form of movement, for six
years and she says, "I doubt if J°ll ever
give it up."
When Shannon was eight, Lori
Bender (her cousin) had been step dan-
cing for awhile and Shannon like what
she saw.. Lori then prompted her
youner cousin to become involved and
ever since Shannon hasn't stoppedkick-
ing
k-
ing up her heels.
In the beginning Shannon attended
classes instructed by Mrs. Storey and
her daughter, Sherri McCall. Three
years ago, she left the classes to teach
pupils of her own. She now tutors 19
youngsters who range from five to 13.
Shannon says it doesn't bother her to
teach the older students, even though
they are not much younger, than she.
"They are my friends before they're
my pupils," she said.
Never instructed by her older sister,
Sherri Preszcator, also dances in com-
petitions and on special occasions.
Shannon and her mother both agree
that boys who step dance make better
