featured in this year's parade.
The Stratford museum entry is called
a caliope, a steam -operated instrument
that plays an organ. It hasn't been seen
in Clinton since the Centennial year.
Mr. Wood said that prize money has
been increased in all. categories. First
place floats will now receive $100, an
increase of $25 over last year.
There are seven categories
including: Most Original, Commercial
or Industrial, Service Club or
Organization, Family or Individual,
Horses or Horse Drawn, School or
Church Entry and Antique Vehicles.
Last year 15 floats and entries were
awarded prizes by the Clinton Klompen
Feest parade 'judges.
In the commercial -industrial class
Baker's Nursery created a top -notch -
float to win first prize. Fleming Feed
Mills earned second prizefor their
efforts and hard work, which included
blowing up balloons along the parade»
route.
The New Canadian Club of Seaforth
took first place in the service club -
organization class and the Young Dutch
Society Dancers came in second.
Ray Lambers and his blue -faced
Smurfiand -.creatures won. crowd
applause and the judges' favor' in the
family -individual class. Marg
Dykstra's entry took second.

One hundred entries expected for .
thisear's Klompen Feest parade

The Klompen Feest Parade will
highlight this year's festivities as over
100 entries will be entered.
The parade will be held on Saturday,
May 19 beginning at 1 'p:m. It will be
winding its way through town before
concluding at the arena.
According to parade organizer Ken
Wood,_seven bands will be participating
this year. Included in that =lig-are-the
Guelph Royalaires and the impressive
Royal Canadian Regiment Pipes and
Drums Fourth Battalion.
