The evening out will include a filet mignon dinner and two hours of live stage entertainment. Following a meal of barbecued filet mignon, baked potato, fresh garden vegetables and special desserts, diners will be able to sit back and watch a two act comedy, Squabbles, presented by the CHSS Drama Club. Suqabbles, according to the Drama Club, "will have you laughing almost non-stop for two hours." The play, written by Marshall Karp, tells the story of Jerry Sloan, a successful writer of advertising jingles and his wife Alice, an equally successful lawyer. Living with this happy couple is the not so happy Abe Dreyfus Alice's curmudgeon of a father. Abe is a pretty funny guy, but Jerry doesn't think so. The situation is made worse upon the arrival of Jerry's mother, Mildred. Of course neither Abe nor Mildred can stand each other. They begin the story as in-laws, but soon become out -laws. The play is one hilarious squabble after another with some real novel and comic insults tossed in for good measure. You simply won't be able to stop laughing. In the heart warming finale, the two oldsters discover that, really, each is not so bad. Maybe they should live together? The Dinner Theatre will be staged on Friday, May 25 and Saturday, May 26 starting at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $10.95 each and are available through the school until Wednesday, May 16. For an evening of tremendous food and lots of- laughs, be sure to join the CHSS Drama Club. For father details call, CHSS 482-3471.
