BRUCEFIELD -= The "Oddfellows held
the final euchre of the season on Friday
evening. The winners were ladies high, Mar-
jorie Caldwell; lone hands, Erma Crich;
low, Mrs. Thomas; men's high, Alden
Crich; lone hands, Warren Haney; low,
Warren Whitmore.
Lucky draw winners were Alex McBeath
and Retta Baird.
Twenty-four members and guests enjoyed
a dinner at the Tuckersmith - Stanley UCW
Unit nneettpg on Tuesday. Retta Baird and
Beard a Stell. were in charge of the worship
with •Eisie Henderson as pianist Beatrice
read an article from the -mandate about
work for women at a half way house in Kan-
sas for women. After the scripture Retta
closed with prayer. Edna Paterson presided
and read a poem on spring. The minutes
were read and treasurers report given. In-
vitations were read from Goshen and Kip -
pen to Spring Thankoffering meeting.

CNIB offer speakers to
church groups and service clubs
The blind have a story to tell and have
decided that they need an audience. They
want. totalk to area. chu cli groups,_ service
clubs and other organizations, large or
r small.
At the April 11 meeting of the Huron -Perth
Advisory Board for the CNIB . held in
Seaforth, it was decided to make speakers
available to such groups, clubs and
organizations.
These speakers would tell true life stories
about their own experiences with blindness
and would offer a better understanding of
the blind, and the CNIB and what it does for
the blind with money donated.

guest. speaker. He was a farther rock singer.
He ministered through song and testimony,
accompanying himself on guitar,. He told
about his younger life and how he got involv-
ed with a.rock band and how he carne to see
the lonely life he was living and turned his
life over to Jesus Christ. Now he has turned
his music talent for the Lord and he and his
wife travel through Canada and the United
States.
The May rally will be May 5 at the
13rucefield school with Mr. Ace Clarke of
Hamilton as special guest. Mr. Clarke was a
forcer leader of a motorcycle gang. Since
his conversion is rn inigtering in many area
churches. He will be accompanied by his
wife who sings.
Unit IV Meets'
Mrs. Nan Britton opened the Easter UCW
meeting of Unit IV with a poem.
The devotional was given by Hazel
Luther. The roll call war. answered by 15
members and 41 visits were reported. Mary
Roobol sent one birthday card and one get -
well card. Myrtle Sherritt Save the
treasurer's report. A special offering was
taken for the card fund.
A bus is going to Wingham April 23 for the
Presbyterial meetings. An bWitation was
accepted for April 10 to$t. Peter's Lutheran
Church, Zurich. Members are to be et
Church 6:30 p.m. April 9 to help set up for-
the barbecue and prepare vegetables. A
quilt craft hobby show will be held at Exeter
on April 14.

Easier meeting
Unit Three UCW held . their Easter
meeting on April 3. Helen Roberts was in
charge of the worship, the theme being Joy.
Dorothy Parker read a poem and members
answered the roll call with an Easter Bible
verse.
Dorothy Parker and Helen Roberts thank-
ed members for cards received at the time
of their bereavement. Members signed
several cards.
Marg Upshall read a poem for the pro-
gram. Dorothy gave the study on, The
meaning of Poverty in Countries overseas
and in Jesus' day.
President Dorothy Parker thanked
everyone for helping at the Queensway Nur-
sing Home during March and to the ones
that took part in the meeting.
