The new walk-in freezer has been in-
stalled in the kitchen, and appreciation is
dueto many people and groups that donated
towards its purchase -- special thanks to the
'Silver Threads. Club of Clinton.
Marg Coventry ' attended the
O.A.D.H.C.V.S. conference in Stratford on
March 28. The program centered on recruit-
ment of volunteers, orientation, and, most
importantly in hospitals, Quality
Assurance.
- Dawna Westlake, Co-ordinator of Long
Term Care volunteers, reported on hair
dressing services and the St. Patrick's party
held in March. An Easter service is being
planned for April 19- in the morning, con-
ducted -by -one -of thedocal ministerial group.
Marilyn Fraser asked for more current
magazines for the waiting rooms, and
pocket books for the library. Afteryou have
read your subscription, drop it off at the
hospital.so someone else may enjoy it.
The membership campaign will be under-
way in late April. A newsletter will be hand-
ed out by your canvasser, giving you and
"overview" of the work of the Auxiliary to
Clinton, _ PubII ._Hospital... -Evelyn Hants,
membership convenor asks that you support
this year's campaign cheerfully.
The Easter tray favors are being made by
the Friendship Club of St Paul's Anglican
Church. The Gift Shop needs vases - par-
ticularly the specialized vases that are used

Teenager Volunteer Ca ing Ceremony is
being held at Wesley W' s United Church
on May 6 at 2 p.m.:Seven new teenage
volunteers will receive their membership
pins; two girls will receive their 400 hour
pins. , The administrato of Huronview,
Wayne Lester is to be a guest speaker.
Everyone is encourag to attend this
ceremony to witness the dedication of these
teenage- volunteers. Hospital Day is to be
celebrated ua the Hospital on May 12 from 2-
4;00 p.lfo Tours of the new addition will -be
conducted, and lunch1be served.

H.A.A. Conference in Ingersoll on April 30,

CLINTON - On March 27 in euchre the
high scorer ,was John Deeves. Bill Jenkins
had the lone hand score •of 6 and the low

The men's euchre group had their banquet
on March 27. High average was won by
Barry Irwin, lone hands by Frank Thomp-
son and low average by Bill Van Damme.
The men had a very successful year and
would like to thank all those who took time
to organize this event.
'The Clinton Legion on April 7 about 3'p.m. .
will be visited by Brussels Legion Branch
218. All members are invited to welcome
Bruitels' members.
Two teams will compete. in Lucknow in
Euchre playdowns on April 7, and the Vimy
Banquet will be held at the Goderlch Legion_
on April 7. —
The Ladies Auxiliary recently held a ,
Euchre night.. The ,xaen's.high scorer was : •.
John Deeves; lone -hands was won by Harold
Black add '-the low by Freda Smith. The
ladies' high scorer was Donelda Flynn, with
lone hands by Lois Turner and low hand by
Cecelia Edgar.
The District meeting will be held in Strat-
ford on April 12. On April 29 the Ladies' Aux-
iliary will be holding their convention in
Seaforth.
We are pleased with the number of glasses
being turned in. If you miss the Legion col-
lection check in your local church and you
will find boxes placed there to receive more
glasses.

Klompen Feest '84
Cornrnunity help needed

CLINTON - It won't be long now. Klompen
Feet '84 is ,lust around the corner. Most ar-
rangements Have been made and finalized
already.
Soon we will need the involvement of the
community as a whole to make the end
result being a huge success. Here is what is
happening or coming up — before May .18, 19
weekend. On Saturday, May 5 the Klompen
Feest Queen Contest will be held at the
Maypole Dance at the Blyth Community
Centre.
'A number of bands and groups have been
booked for the big Klompen Feest parade,
Now we are looking for family and local en-
tries. Make your plans and enter the parade.
Everyone is welcome.
Dinner tickets for Saturday, May 19 will
be available starting next week — Adults $6.
and Children $4. Tickets are limited and are
always sold out so don't wait too~long to get
'yours. •
The KLM tickets are also available now.
They sell for $2 each or three for $5.00. The
winner of this. draw receives two seats for
the Netherlands on the KLM airline — Toron-
to to Amsterdam and Return. The winning
ticket is good from September 15, 1984 to
May 15,1985.
Here's what is happening May 18, 19, the
Klompen Feest Weekend. Thpre will be
another kite flying contest on Friday, May
18 in the afternoon. On Saturday, May 19
there will be a dance at the Clinton Com-
munity Center to end the Klompen Feest
weekend. Whiskey Jack will be the enter-
taining band. Those who do not want to
dance are able to attend a play called
WESPENNEST — a comedy put on by a
group from Woodstock. This will be held at
the Christian School in Clinton on Saturday,
May 19 at 8 p.m. All the entertainment for
Friday night and Saturday afternoon has
been confirmed. It. appears that we have a
full and interesting schedule. The entertain-
ment on Friday night will be in the arena
again this year.
Mrs. Van Damme has a special treat for
all Klompen Feest committee members and
their spouses. For all their hard work and
efforts she is .gffertng a "Bang-up Ribs... of
Beef Dinner" at the Holiday Lodge just
before the next meeting wliicTh is Tuesday,
April iQ — dinner at 6:30 p.rn. — meeting to
follow. There is a limited number of places
available (36 seats) and several people have
made their reservations already. The cost is
at a two for one ($10/couple). She asks only
that you let her know by 10 a.m. Saturday,
April 7 whether you plan to attend. You may
