An Easter service is being planned for April 19- in the morning, con- ducted -by -one -of thedocal ministerial group. The men's euchre group had their banquet on March 27. High average was won by Barry Irwin, lone hands by Frank Thomp- son and low average by Bill Van Damme. The men had a very successful year and would like to thank all those who took time to organize this event. 'The Clinton Legion on April 7 about 3'p.m. . will be visited by Brussels Legion Branch 218. All members are invited to welcome Bruitels' members. Two teams will compete. in Lucknow in Euchre playdowns on April 7, and the Vimy Banquet will be held at the Goderlch Legion_ on April 7. — The Ladies Auxiliary recently held a , Euchre night.. Klompen Feet '84 is ,lust around the corner. Most ar- rangements Have been made and finalized already. Soon we will need the involvement of the community as a whole to make the end result being a huge success. Here is what is happening or coming up — before May .18, 19 weekend. On Saturday, May 5 the Klompen Feest Queen Contest will be held at the Maypole Dance at the Blyth Community Centre. 'A number of bands and groups have been booked for the big Klompen Feest parade, Now we are looking for family and local en- tries. Make your plans and enter the parade. Everyone is welcome. Dinner tickets for Saturday, May 19 will be available starting next week — Adults $6. and Children $4. Tickets are limited and are always sold out so don't wait too~long to get 'yours. • The KLM tickets are also available now. They sell for $2 each or three for $5.00. Here's what is happening May 18, 19, the Klompen Feest Weekend. Thpre will be another kite flying contest on Friday, May 18 in the afternoon. On Saturday, May 19 there will be a dance at the Clinton Com- munity Center to end the Klompen Feest weekend. Whiskey Jack will be the enter- taining band. Those who do not want to dance are able to attend a play called WESPENNEST — a comedy put on by a group from Woodstock. This will be held at the Christian School in Clinton on Saturday, May 19 at 8 p.m. All the entertainment for Friday night and Saturday afternoon has been confirmed. It. appears that we have a full and interesting schedule. The entertain- ment on Friday night will be in the arena again this year. Mrs. Van Damme has a special treat for all Klompen Feest committee members and their spouses.
