Monday was professional development day for high school students
across Huron County and while the students had the day off, the

UCW Easter Meeting
The Belgrave United Church Women held
their Easter meeting on March 29. The
president, Mrs. John Roberts, conducted the
business.
Correspondence included an invitation to
attend the Blyth U.C.W. meeting on April 15
and the April Event at Wingham United
Church on April 23.
_ --The Youth Grou will conduct the Easter
Sunday Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. with
breakfast to follow in the church
schoolroom.
Mrs. William Coiiltes introduced the peat
speaker Pastor Doug Zehr andhis wife and
baby daughter of the BrusseMennonite
Church. Mr. Behr gave his message on the
Lenten season and answered questions of
the Mennonite . faith Mrs. Sara Anderson
thanked Pastor Zehr for his inspiring ad-
diess.
Mrs. Norman Cook and Mrs. George
Mickie conducted a service of "Tenebrae"
from the Exchange for the worship part of
the meeting.
The offering was received by Mrs. Helen
Martin and Mrs. Bob Gordon.
Morris man died in fire

AT MARKET AT YORK
Terry William Glanville, 20, of RR 5,
Brussels, died when fire swept through the
mobile home in which he was sleeping.
Another occupant, Mary Ryan, 21, of RR
1, Walton, managed to escape through a
window.
Police reported that Miss Ryan awoke
about 4:25 a.m. to find the home ablaze. She
managed to break window and get out, but
suffered severe cuts.
The Hensall Fire Department was called
to the scene and while firemen were able to
control the fire, they were unable to save
Mr. Glanville.
The fire is believed to have been caused by
a pan of grease which overheated after is
was left on the stove.
