ATVupercross to be held in London The "great indoors" will be the site of the action that until now has been confined to the "great outdoors." February 8th through .,12th, the new addition to the Progress Building at the Western Fairgrounds in Lon- don will be filled with all terrain vehicles and racers from all over Ontario as Hully. Gully, BX -93 Radio, and the Western Sports Fair present their .first "ATV' SUPER - CROSS" event. Some of the racers taking part will include Expert motocross racer Chuck Collins of Varna, Brad Darling of Mount Carmel, and the Middegaal brothers from Blyth, who as recently as the Yamaha Huron Cup on January 29th, ranaway with most of the honors in the ATV events held there. Other. • racers:are coming from Minden, Eganviile,. Lindsay, London and Torontoto race in- doors at the Western Sports Fair. Supercross qualifying heats take place . Thursday and Friday nights at 7 and 9 p.m., on Saturday at .1. a.m., 4 p.m., 7 and 8:30 p.m. with finals in all classesbeing run off • on Sunday afternoon. On Wednesday night, February 8th, area celebrities and. politicians will get aboard the three-wheelers to show their prowess and will kick off the event. Part of the ex- citement for spectators will be the chance to win a Honda FL -250 Odyssey 4 -wheel terrain vehicle from Hully Gully and BX -93. Spec- tators can even get in on some of the fun on the track. Hully Gully staff will be offering • 3 -wheeler rides between races on all five days of the Sports Fair. The ATV Supercross is a new style of rac- ing in the area and will offer spectators a lot of excitement. Hully Gully's race director has specially prepared this indoor track from his motocross experience. It features a large "King Kong" jump, plus built-up earth "berm" corners, a series of mogul - like bumps well ,crown in motocross circles as "whoop -de -loos." The tight, challenging track is sure to offer spectators motocross style thrills and action, and it's just one of many events happening at the first Western Sports Fair at London's Western Fairgrounds.
