CLINTON - The annual Morning Market
at Wesley -Willis United Church will be tak-
ing place this Saturday, November 5th,
from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This year, as usual, there will be a wide
variety of items available - baked goods,
sewing, knitted articles, delicatessen foods
and garden produce. In addition, there will
be a flea market, a silent auction, a puppet
show and a place just for kids, complete
with fish pond.
A bazaar of this size takes a lot of prepara-
tion. Each committee usually holds a work
party or two to lighten the load. These work
parties provide a good opportunity for peo-
ple to get to know each other better, and
they provide a spirit of fun that makes the
jobs go quickly.
Making 300 meat pies for the delicatessen
booth requires lots of organization, lots of in-
gredients, and lots of help. Fortunately, 15
people make quite a production line and
they roll out 100 pies, ready for baking, in
just an hour or so. The finished products cer-
tainly smell delicious and since these pies
always sell quickly, the buyers must agree.
This year, there will be small fruit pies
available, as well as meat pies.
For those who miss out on these pies,
there will be lots of fruit pies available at the
tea room, along with muffins, sandwiches
and beverages.
There should be something for everyone
at the Wesley -Willis Morning Market on
Saturday, so come and join us.
