Special Care respond
with ease to music
Reverend Norman Pick was in charge of
Sunday morning worship in the Huronview
chapel. Flowers in the chapel were placed
by Sarah Carter and Margaret McQueen.
The choir sang a fine old selection and
Frank Bissett presided at the organ.
Tuesday afternoon, residents from
Special Care met in the activity room for a
social hour. They listened to the music and it
is amazing how able they respond. Coffee
and cookies were served.
The Women's Institute from Gorrie and
Wroxeter convened the birthday party foil
October, and it was held Oct. 26 in the
auditorium. There was a wonderful atten-
dance and a splendid program was
presented. Mrs. Mabel Edgar welcomed
everyone, and introduced the entertain-

the piano. Alvin Mundell and Mel Dennis

delightful reading.
Two excellent musicians, Mrs. Mundell
and Mrs. Velma Mann displayed their talent
as they presented piano duets. The audience
took part in a singsong accompanied by
Mrs. Hogg. Tea and fancy cupcakes were
served. On behalf of the residents, Mrs.
Edith Lovett thanked the ladies and
gentlemen for performing for us and mak-
mg the afternoon an enjoyable one.
Thursday afternoon, the residents listen-

last Thursday afternoon of each month, Eu
takes himself away from a busy schedule in
Goderich to come down to Huronview and
play the chapel organ for our pleasure.
All through the building such things as
ghosts, bats, goblins and other scary
creatures have appeared on the walls, in an-
ticipation of Hallowe'en. A party was held-

To the family of the late Mr. William
Heather, a resident of Huronview who pass-
ed away this week, we extend our sincere
sympathy.
