Pictured is Clinton Police Constable Don Shropshall donating blood with the help of nurse Bonnie Devison of London.(Rod Hilts photo) Kinette Club welcomes Anniversary Celebration CLINTON - The Kinettes met on Oct. 11 at the home of Dorothy Bougher. Dinner was enjoyed by everyone at the China Palace. Kinette Grace was led by Bette Dalzell. Upon returning to Dorothy's for the meeting, Florence Miller spoke to the Kinettes about flower arranging. While speaking, Florence made a wall arrangement, demonstrating her techniques. Everyone was enthusiastic about this art and were only too quick to buy a ticket for the draw for the arrangement. Marie Jefferson was the lucky ticket holder. President Cheryl Hohner opened the meeting welcoming Diane Armstrong, Zone Co-ordinator, eight members, two Honorary members, and 12 guests to the 31st Anniversary.Celebration of the Kinette Club of Clinton. The Kinette song was led by Martha Craig. Reports from the Registrar and Treasurer followed. Minutes of the September general meeting and executive meeting were passed. A motion was made that the Kinettes will have a garage sale in the spring. Anyone wishing to support this sale should contact a Kinette member to make arrangements for the pick up of their articles. The recent car rally was a great success with a profit of $329. The club will be making this an annual event. Linda Bosman reported on services. The Blood Donor Clinic was set for Oct. 20 at C.H.S.S. The Kinettes looked for the usual strong support. Dorothy Bougher reported the Hallowe'en clown suit rentals are going very well. There are only a few suits left for rental. The Kinette Club of Clinton received three awards, for Cystic Fibrosis, for the Mombassa, Kenya Secondary School for Physically Disabled Project and for Efficiency. Diane Armstrong, Zone Co-ordinator commented on the club's excellent organization and also congratulated the Kinettes on their 31st anniversary.
