Halloween is a time of witches. owls, black cats and pumpkins If you are having a Halloween party this year, here are a few ideas to make it a good one. Decorations You could make a witch centrepiece by dress- ing up a doll in black crepe paper and a pointed hat. The tablecloth could he orange crepe paper with cutouts of Hallowe'en animals stuck on Orange balloons and black streamers could he taped to the walls and around the doors The Maze Game Hallowe'en games are usually spooky and exciting. One good game is called The Maze" The object of the Maze Game is to follow a piece of string in the dark until a prize is reached Each person follows their own piece of string over and under the furniture Before you set up the maze of string. create a spooky atmosphere in the room Hang damp strips of cloth from the ceiling. where they will brush a person's face Place pots and pans so they will rattle and clang when people go by Ask a friend to crouch in a corner and moan like a ghost The room should be dark with only just the faintest glimmer of light There are all sorts of scary things you can do to make the Maze Game exciting Fortune Telling Fortune telling has always been a traditional part of Hallowe'en. Ask a friend to dress up as a gypsy and tell the fortune of your guests. Put in front of the gypsy some bowls that contain items which stand for things like wealth, proverty, trips and good Tuck A blind -folded guest can touch several bowls and the gypsy will tell the fortune Distributed by Canodo Wlde Feature Sersuce llmded 1983 Mackay Fou -Field - 11✓ .l Y J • rr r/, y d A
