(Photo by Stephanie Levesque) Lynne Dodds takes furrow title Lynne Dodds of R.H. 1 Seaforth has captured the ti- tle of Huron County Queen of the Furrow for the second year. Lynne, the 18 -year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Dobbs, was crowned at the 56th annual Huron Coun- ty Plowing Match held this past Saturday atthe farm of Claire Deichert of R.R. 1 Zurich. The Seaforth area girl won over six other girls competing for the title. The runner-up was Cheryl Stewart, 20, of R.R. 1 Kirkton. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Stewart. Other competitors were Lisa Thompson, 18, of R.R. 5 Wingham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Thompson; Estella Wilson, the 17 -year- old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Wilson of R.R. 1 Brucefield; Julie Townsend, 17, of R.R. 4 Seaforth, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Townsend; Sherry Chuter, the 17 -year-old daughter. of .4 Mrs. Eric Chuter o.11:1" Varna and Lisa Beuttenmiller, 17, of Seaforth, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Beutten- miller. The new queen is the reci- pient of the Ray Scotchmer trophy, a leather coat from Bainton's Original Old Mill in Blyth, and from the Huron County Plowmen's Associa- tion, Lynne receives $20, .a bouquet of roses and $40 towards expenses at the 1984 International Plowing Mat- ch. Lynne will be representing Huron at the International Plowing Match this fall in Ottawa -Carleton as the 1983 Queen of the Furrow. next year, she will compete at the IPM in Wellington County to be held near Teviotdale.
