She is also survived by nine grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Beattie Funeral Home in Clinton on August 6, with Rev. Gordon Simmons officiating. Interment followed in the Clinton Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bradley Taylor of Lucan, Brian Herbert of Lucan, Gerrard r Reynolds of Stratford, John Masse of Kitchener, Terry Gordner and Rick Gordner of Kitchener. Seldon John Ross An aircraft mechanic during WWII, a farmer and well known Brucefield resident died at University Hospital in London on August 4. Seldon John Ross, 74, was born in Brucefield on May 2, 1909, the son of William John Ross and the former Janet Gilmour. He attended school at Stanley Township No. 10 and lived in the village until 1933. On July 5, 1933 in Colborne Township, he married Violet Ashton and the couple made their home in Goderich for seven years where Mr. Ross worked as an aircraft ts mechanic. They returned to Brucefield for three years before purchasing a nearby farm. The couple retired to Brucefield in 1973. Along with his farm work, Mr. Ross served as stewart for the Brucefield United Church and a trustee at Tuckersmith No. 3 Public School. Mr. Ross is survived by his wife and six children, Mrs. George (Marion) Warner of Goderich, Mrs. Donald (Betty) Lee of Duchess, Alberta, Mrs. John (Caroline) Greenaway of Bluevale, Mrs. James (Dorothy) Boughen of Clinton, Donald of Goderich and James of Wingham. He was predeceased by one son George. Ham, and attended the Scott - Car crashes in fog The Goderich OPP reported one accident last week that saw a Clinton man and his wife escape with minimal injuries. On August 6, Robert Miller, 33, of Clinton was eastbound on County Road 13 in heavy fog when the car entered the south ditch at the junction of Goderich Township Road 15 and 16. A passenger in the car, Valerie Miller, received minimal in- juries. Damage to the Miller vehi- cle was estimated at $600.
