Hullett Township council
have decided to voice their
concern over certain books
being used in Huron high
school English courses. The
books under question are
The Diviners, Catcher In the
Rye and Of Mice and Men.

Fairholme Dairy has
ceased processing. Starting
April 26, the dairy will be
handling the Maple Lane
franchise for milk and dairy
products.
Mr. and Mrs. Gregor
McGregor received a letter
of congratulations from
Lady McGregor and Sir
Gregor McGregor of
Scotland on the occasion of
their 50th wedding an-
niversary. The letter con-
tained ,a gift of white
heather.

Dr. J. Alec Addison,

Clinton and before that in
. Zurich for four years, was
named Liberal candidate in
the May 12 by-election in the
Huron riding.
Pupils of 11 rural schools
competed in the seventh
annual Hullett Township
Music Festival in Lon-
desboro.

held in the Bayfield town hall
last week under the auspices
of the Bayfield Agricultural
Society was a great success.
There was a large at-
tendance and 36 in costume
took part in the Grand
March. Music for the dance
was provided by the Bayfield
Variety Orchestra.

Rev. Mr. Dunbar, the
newly appointed incumbent
of the Hol)nesville parish,
has rented the ('oats' cottage
on the Hayfield Road, south
of town and has taken up his
residence there with his
parents and his brother. The
family came from Belfast,
Ireland 16 months ago.
