Every bride wants to look
Dust right on her wedding
day. She wants to create an
everlasting impression on
her groom, one which he will
remember throughout his
lifetime.
This means she wants to
look her most beautiful:
clear, glowing skin; a per-
fect coiffure; well -
manicured nails.
Preparations for looking
your prettiest should begin
long before your wedding
day — in fact, give yourself a
month or more to pull
yourself together.
+ A well-balanced diet
should be an integral part off
Our daily routine, wedding
or no wedding. But, it is
particularly important to eat
its t
properly during those
frenzied weeks before the
wedding. Your skin, hair and
nails will ,s nefit, and your
stamina to endure the
pressures every bride faces
wall be greater.
t An exercise routine
should be part of your beauty
regimen. Exercise keeps
your body well -toned, and
encourages a more healthy
physiology in general.
+ Adequate rest is a must
— no bride should look as
though she's been through
the wringer on her wedding
day. Be sure to get at least
eight hours of sleep every
night, starting at least one
month before the big day_
+ Decide on your hairstyle
weeks before the wedding, so

Wedding traditions die
hard. But purchasing a
complete trousseau is one
tradition which today's bride
has packed away.
"Brides are tending to be
more conservative, I think,
especially with the economy
the way it is," says Joan
Ixogie of The Fashion Party,
Inc.
Even the going -away outfit
has surrendered to prac-
ticality. As a working
woman, the modern bride
almost always chooses the
versatile blazer and skirt for
her exit from the reception.
Logie says lingerie really
is the only item which the
bride should completely
replenish. Soft romantic
nightgowns, full and half
slips, bras and panties,
camisoles, the popular teddy
and most importantly a
peignoir set will be needed to
complete the lingerie
wardrobe.
Some new clothes may be
wanted for the honeymoon,
but attire for the usual
southern stops should be
kept casual. A couple of
evening cocktail dresses for
special dinners, basic tops
and shorts, and, of course, a
that your veil will be suitable
to whatever style you
choose. If you plana to have
a haircut, or even just a
trim, have at done two weeks
prior to the wedding so t
your hair has time to adjust
to the new cut.
+ Condition you hair so
that it is soft and shining.
Clean, healthy hair is a must
— whether it's covered by
your veil, or full and loose
with a flower tucked on the
side.
+ For healthy skin that's
aglow with happiness, have a
facial 10 days before the
ceremony. Follow a skin
care routine in the weeks
preceding the wedding, but
don't try any new products
just before the big day. You

couple of swim suits will be
needed.
Sun dresses are a practical
and versatile option for a
travel wardrobe. They are
cool for warm southern
climates and with today's
soft and romantic looks, they
can be worn just about
anywhere.
What's true for the bride is
also true for the groom —
when it comes to honeymoon
attire, the word to remember
is "casual." One new suit, a
couple of pairs of pants,
sport shirts, shorts and swim
suits will be the most useful
items.

may have an allergic
reaction, and it's not worth
the risk.
+ Visit your dentist a few
days before the wedding to
have your teeth cleaned_ H
there's one thing you'll be
doing a lot of on your wed-
ding day, it's smiling. You'll
want your teeth looking their
whitest.
+ Have a manicure the
day before the wedding, and
choose a shade of polish that
is subtle — one which will
complement either your
flowers or the colors which
you've chosen for your
wedding party.
+ Take a deep breath and
relax. This is going to be one
of the happiest days of your
life.
