project
The 4-H sprung project is
called Ontario Heritage and
the first meeting of the Clin-
ton 1 4-H homemaking club
was held on February 7 at
the home of leader, Carol
Dixon.
Here, we welcomed four
new members, Susan
Govenlock, Patrice Pet-
teplace, Paula Semple and
Kelly Vodden.
After the handing out of
the project booklets, the
election of officers took
place. They are: president,
Joy Taylor; vice-president,
Dori Daer; secretary,
Patrice Petteplace, and
press reporter, Roving.
In the kitchen, we made
Pumpkin Soup, Scotch Eggs,
Irish Soda Bread and Maple
Baked Apples. While the
food was cooking, we
discussed from our books,
the heritage of each of our
ancestors and the food of
which they ate.
For the next meeting we
were to rnake a list of herbs
and spices you have at home,
make a Me Page, and think
of a club name. The next
meeting was set for
February 14.
We then enjoyed the food
of which we prepared.
