The annual regulatory
naneeting for the Huronia
Branch of the Ontario
Humane Society was held
January 26 at the OMAF
o:' ice in Clinton. Guests
included Rick Kotary, Mason
officer for the Ontario
Hagnane Society and Jim
Sharman, investigation
officer, Thorndale.
President, Betty
MacDon.;:Id summarized the
st proceedings of Huronia
Branch and also the outlook
on upcoming fund raising
plans.
Dianne Foster, secretary,
read the minutes of the last
meting and advised about
the lost -found and placement
list that the branch is
keeping to assist pet owners
in finding suitable homes for
unwanted animals and also
helping the public find a
suitable pet. She advised
that we have found several
homes for dogs and cats and
anyone wanting to use the
service could call 529-7865 or
529-7 I ;1.
Melody Ambeault, vice -
president advised that the
position off agent has not
been filled and the group is
still looking for interested
parties. She also advised
that a piece of land was
offered by Mr. and Mrs.
Gordon Neilly, at R.R. 2
Paisley and is being kept on
file for further reference.
The treasurer's report was
given by Laurie Jeffrey.
Koury then gave a brief
outline of the past history
and plans for the branch's
future. The election of the
1983 committee was heldand
includes; president, Betty
MacDonald; vice-president
Marty Bond; secretary,
Dianne Foster; treasurer,
Laurie Jeffrey; directors,
Muriel Stokes, Beth Chowen,
Melody Howse, Gail Clarke
and Audrey Graham,all of
Goderich; Debbie Price,
Point Clark; Sheila Lan-
caster, Wingham; and Bruce
Stevenson, Teeswater.
Following the election,
discussions followed con-
cerning seizures, past court
cases and also an upcoming
case for Huron to be held
February 11 in Goderich.

St. Marys Kinsmen and
Kinettes Clubs, 15 car seats
are now available for

Traffic fatality
ZU 'I ICH- A 29 -year-old
Zurich man, Johnson
Kallumadyll, was killed
January 31 when the car he
was driving hit a tree after it
left Perth County Road 23
just east of the hamlet of
Harmony southeast of
Stratford.
OPP at Sebringville said
the car, in which the native
off India was the only oc-
cupant, broke in half on
impact.
He is survived by his wife,
a brother Jacob in Exeter, as
well as his parents, three
brothers and four sisters in
dia.
