their grandmother, Mrs. E. Hicks, who

Mr. Moore of Kirkton, on Monday,
commenced his mail carrying contract
between Exeter gnd St. Marys. It is
stated that he will shortly start from
Elimville instead of Exeter.
Miss Ellis, who has severed her con-
nection with E. J. Spackman, as mil-
liner left on Tuesday, for her home in
Barrie. Miss Ellis made many friends
here who will regret her departure.

moving to the coast at an early date,
and. are desirious of disposing of their

Dr. Frank Parker, of Storm Lake,
Iowa, accompanied by his motber,Mrs.
Parker, of Auburn, Iowa, visited. Mr.
and Mrs R, Hicks, and Mrs. E. Elliott,
last week. Dr. Parker left a few days
ago for Europe, where he ;will spend
a year in the medical /colleges of Ber-
lin, Germany. Vienna, Austria. Mrs.
Parker will visit in Exeter, for a few
weeks.
The Rev. Dr. Willourhby, who for
the past two years has been pastor of
the Methodist church here preached
his last sermon on. Sunday, thus clos-
ing an unusally long and eventful min-
istry of 45 years. The doctor's physi-
cal strength and preaching powers are,
to all appearances, sufficient for years,
but his failing sight and the desire to
preserve what remained as long as pos-
sible, rendered retirement from the re-
spotu3ibilities and! oversight of a
