These symptoms to- gether with others of it. distressing na- ture, proved beyond doubt thatlxiykid- neys were not performing their proper functions, consequently the poisonous matter was distributed through my en- tire system. My appetite was poor, I became very weak and lost flesh rapid- ly. In fact I. felt generally miserable, both in health and spirits. When I stooped it was with painful exertion that I again stood erect. •`I received no practical benefit from any of the remedies I took until five weeks ago, when Icommenced taking Doan's Kidney Pills. They^ seemed to go right to the seat of the disease, re- storing niy kidneys to a healthy condi- tion, so that they perforated their na- tural oflice in removing the poison from nary, systent. As at result my back troubles and all ether distressing ail- ments I have mentioned are gone. I have gained in strength and weight, my appetite is good, and I can truly say that I feel splendid, all being the result of taking Doau's Kidney Pills, and all having beendouein five weeks. -- "I saw by the papers that the agent for Doan's Kidney Pills was to be at Messrs. J. II. Nasmyth & Co.'s drug store on the 27t11 ult., and so left my work expressly on purpose t() see 11in1 and give this voluntary statement as a small return for the benefit I have received, as I consider it only my dotty to make others acquainted with a re- medy so sufficient andprompt to re- lieve sufferers from kidney complaint, (Signed) J. The thirteen -year-old daughter of J. I).Liscum,Toronto Junction, was burn- ed to death while playing around a brush fire, through the injection of etorphine into my arm, ars a result of which the pain would gradually pass away. The medicine which was given ore, how ever. had not the slightest effect, and the doctor appeare(1 to be greatly per- plexed, and thereafter continually re- sorted to injections of morphine when- ever the attacks came on. These at- tacks continued at intervals until our return to Canada, when they increased in frequency and intenseness. The re- sult was that I grew very weak, and my whole system apnea red to be giv- ing out. My complexion turned a yellowish hue, and I bad little or no appetite. Latterly I would be attacked with fainting spells, preceded by attacks of dizziness. I became unable to stand fatigue, and could with the greatest difficulty perform my householclduties. A doctor was called in who treated me for some time without benefitting me any. Then he gave me what I now know to be Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and after I had used two boxes I felt somewhat Letter. I then purchased the pills myself and continued the treatment. I found that the pain was gradually decreasing. I could get rest and sleep at night, which had hitherto been almost impossible. 1 continued using Dr.Williams'PinkPillsforseveral a onths, and the result is that they ave effected a complete cure, and I am now enjoying the best of health. I can assure yon it is a great relief to be free frorrl the trouble that made my life miserable for so many years and I have to thank Dr. Williams' Pink Pills for succeeding when doctors had failed. Dr. Williams' Pink Pills act directly upon the blood and nerves, building them anew and thin,,driving disease from the system. There le no trouble due to either of these causes which Pink Pink will not pure, and in hun- dreds of eases they have restored patients to health after all other reme- dies had failed. The _glorious resultfi of this season's harvest of golden grain will ponsr a, stream of sound money into the pocket of every Dakota farmer. South Dakota has thousand's of acres of choice farming and ranch land lying east of the Missouri river, and within one day's ride from Chicago or Mil- waukee which can now be bought reasonably cheap, but which before the end of another year may be advanced in price. The stock -raising industry in South Dakota is profitable, and Eastern capi- tal is now being invested in cattle and sheep growing in that state. Diversified farming, the growing of live stock, and the products of the dairy, are placing South Dakota, fore- most in• the ranks of the successful Western states. Those desiring full information on the subject and particularly those who wish to seek a new home or purchase land, are requested to correspond with. A. J. The orange seed became encasted in the lining of the stomach, and had begun to sprout. Miss Griffin will xecover. A deliberate and premeditated attempt at suicide was made by a, fourteen year old Harpurhey boy on Wednesday. The young lad came down town and purchased a box of "Sure Death to Rats," and a quantity of figs, which he mixed up and then ate a sufficient quantity to cause death. Before the poison had bad time to do its work, however, he seemed to repent his rash act and confessed what be had done to some of the neighbors, who immediately applied emetics. He was then taken. to a doctor's office, and the `stomach pump used, thus saving his life. • Rev. Andrew Ritchie,D.
