for the evening and hang on to

points. French Dry Cleaners
grabbed five points to boost

blado. The Tail Ends' put a

goal lead in the second period
and then scored six unan-
swered goals in the final 30
minutes for a 6-2 victory.
The teams battled through

then the Hanover squad

Saturday evening's. game
played at the Goderich
Memorial Arena didn't start
until 1D:00 o'clock, and it was ,
a one -sided -affair as' -Signal
Stars bombed Arthur 10-0.
Arthur players spent most
of their time` in the .penalty
box as. they were assessed 14
minor penalties, three seven,-
minute
even,,minute high -sticking calls,
and three playdrs.got the gate
for the balance of the game.
Signal Stars also were
'''assessed eight penalties in
the first' period, but then
settled down to. ,, playing
hockey with only two .in-
fractions in the second and
third periods. Steve Davey
produced the only goal in0the
first period as Brian Meriam
set him up. Goderich got five
:goals in the second period -
Mike Andrews, Ron Hunking,
Steve -Meriam, Mike Cum-
mings, •and Scott Kennelly.
Brian ,Meriam picked up four
assists in the game, and Mike
Andrews led the defence with
three assists and two goals,
for 'the night. • '
Ron Hunking, left-winger,
picked up the hat trick as he
was set up by Brian Meriam
on all , three goals. Doug
Marshall in his first game of
the season centred, Mike
Cummings and Scott Ken-
nedy picked up an assist and
,..played - a strong two-way
game. • Mike Cummings
scored two goals and had two
assists, Scott Kennedy, the
other winger, ..ctihtributed a
single goal, and two assists for
the S ignal,;tars.
Next game will be this
Saturday when the Signal
Stars take on Harriston at
9.:00p.m.

The Goderich Police
Department investigated
three accidents during the
past week, only one of which
resulted in a major dam,ge
estimate.
A two car collision
November 25 on Oxford
Street 'resulted in a total
damage estimate of $650 to
vehicles driven' by Joanne
Yule, 169 McDonald St.,
Goderich and • John
Corriveau, 62 Waterloo St, N.,
Goderich.
Damage to the Yule vehicle
was estimated at $500 and
$150 to the Corriveau vehicle.
There were no injuries.
During the past week' the
Goderich Police Department
also laid 10 charges Iter the
Criminal Code of Canada,
seven under ' the Highway
Traff,,ic A.ct,seven under the
Liquor Control Act and two
under the Narcotics'Act,
for the victory.
Mike Wedlock led the Lions.
