Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Voll
of Kitchener' visited on
Tuesday of last week with
Brother Carl Voll and with
Mr. and Mrs. Terry Dalton.
Other visitors during the
week with Brother Carl were
Reverend Anthony Meyer,
C.R. of Waterloo; Reverend
Father MacAulay and
Brother, Dan McAdam.
Brother Dan is .a teacher in
Brooklyn, New York and has
just returned from Bolivia
where he has served since
1960. Other visitors were Miss
Lorraine Busch of Waterloo
and Miss Theresa Busch ,of
Brantfbrd.
Mrs. Reis Miltenburg is
spending three weeks
vacation in Holland with the
many relatives and friends of
their family.
Brother, Carl Voll ac-
companied Mr. and Mrs.
Mark Dalton to London last
Wednesday. They visited with
Reverend Father Ed Den-
tinger, C.R. a patient in St.
Joseph's Hospital. Father Ed
'-A had a second operation on
Monday of last week and, his
progress is not as speedy as
his many friends would like it
to be.
Mr.. and Mrs. John Austin
and son -Eugene visited
during the past week with
Mrs, Austin's. sister Mrs.
Marie Judge, Mr. Judge and
families in Jackson,
Michigan. Mrs. Judge went
with the Austins to visit with
the ladies uncle, Mr. Frank
Owens, a patient in the
Frankenmuth Convalescent
Centre, Frankenmuth,
Michigan.
Mr. Frank Sullivan and
Mrs. Vogt visited in London
on Thursday of last week.
Mr. and Mrs. George
Leinhardt of St.. Clements
,visited during the week with
Mr. and Mrs. Terry Dalton.
Mr. and Mrs. Con Hogan.
visited during the past week°
with their daughter Fay
4-11 leaders who have led
two clubs in the past two
years enjoyed an all expenses
paid, two day trip to the
Royal Winter Fair in Toronto.
Mrs. Karla Hogan, Mrs.
Delores VanOsch, Mrs.
Shirley Hackett and Mrs,
Evelyn Hackett were among
340 4-H leaders from the
counties of. Ontario to enjoy
this trip on Monday and
• Tuesday, November k7 and
18. They travelled by train
from Stratford to Toronto and
enjoyed the Royal Winter
Fair on Monday. They stayed
' at the Lord Simcoe Hotel for
Monday evening and on
Tuesday morning attended
the 4-14 Leaders Breakfast
Banquet held in the Lord
Simcoe Hotel at 8 a.m. There
were 4-14 Treaders who took
advantage of this trip on
Thursday and Friday
November 20 and 21.
Mr. - Melvin O'Reilly of
Windsor visited with Mr. and
Mrs. Donald'F'rayne and Mr.
'" and Mrs. Eugene Frayne
during the past week.

Huron -Perth SS board hears library report

Roman Catholic separate
school board members
meeting in Dublin Monday
heard • reports from their
representatives on the
Stratford Library Board --
Fred Bergsma and Dan
Devlin, both of Stratford,
Mr. Ber- r,;a said the
renovations the library
were completed in July and
that both he and Mr. Devilin
had been members of the
planning committee.
He. reported a marked
increase in the number of
books carried by the library
with a 60 per cent increase in
the juvenile section,
Mr. ' Bergsma said a
popular feature with . the
public was having the
children's section of the
library open every evening
along with the adult section.
There are 7Q0 countri
families belonging to • the
library now, almost a 75 per
cent increase, he said.
To date since the re-
opening, some 26 groups have
toured the building, Mr.
Ber:, a reported, with more
tour planned. Twelve
.organizations are using the
library facilities for their
programs and 'the library
staff presents another eight
programs.
Mr. Devlin stressed the
importance of elementary
school children visiting
libraries when young ,and
using library facilities so that

the board representative on

committee for family plan-
ning service. `
Ed. Rowland, .co-ordinator
of ' maintenance and
buildings, reported that
maintenance , costs from
January 1 to November 24
amounted' to $42,638, in-,
cluding fencing, painting,
paving, seeding lawns,
recharging and replacing fire
extinguishers, sidewalks and
roofs.
Mr. Rowland reported he
had supervised other capital
and maintenance projects
such as the library addition at
St. Patrick's School, Kinkora,
$69,794 board office
renovations, $34,745; routine
.maintenapce of schools,
$15,350; electrical services
(schools), $3,200; ,,,,and
pklmbing services (schools),
$7,600; for a total of $130,689.
Mr. Rowland received high
praise from the board for his
work during the past year.
Trustee Donald Crowley of
Gadshill reported the
renovation ' work at St.
Patrick's School, Kinkora,
would start this week. The
work includes an addition for
a gymnasium, change rooms
and °a health room by
Pounder Brothers of Strat-
ford, whose tender amounted
to $210,590.
