According to- Richard Loblaw, if fish don't taste good it is probably because fisher- men are' over -reacting to a Ministry of Health warning about PCB content in cohoe salmon caught in the Great Lakes. PCB - poly chlorinated biphenol - is believed to cause some . genetic problems in humans if consumption is .regular over a- long period of late ummer fruit 11 Elsie Proctor samples a raspberry from one of the two quarts she picked from her garden last week. She and her husband Alvin Proctor of Goderich Township, have enjoyed the berries' from theiroverbearing plants all year. They say though that this is the most they have had in one picking and they have never enjoyed berries this late in the year. Mrs. Proctor said they had raspberries instead of the traditional pumpkin for Thanksgiving" dinner and if the weather holds they will beable to'have fresh raspberry pie in November. PCB is concentrated in the fat of fish and because salmon has a higher per- centage of body fat than' some others, the PCB content is 'iblieved to be higher in salmon. It further advises that pregnant women should `eat no Great Lake salmon at all. V .
