Left to right they are Michael Palmer, winner or the A. M. Robertson award for Mathematics and Science and the Robert MacKay Memorial scholarship for the highest average in Year 5; Joan Schoenhals, winner .of ' the William Cutt Memorial Scholarship forhighest standing in two languages other than English in Years 4 and 5 at GDCI; Peter Willis, recipient of the Town of Goderich annual award to a deserving Goderich student who is registered in an institution.. of higher -learning; and Brenda Thompson, winner' of the A:v,.J., Moore Memorial Scholarship. After the ceremony at GDCI last Friday evening; she stopped to chat with Don Kenwell, superintendent of education for Huron County. Mr. Kenwell was attending commencement to see his two children, Briawand Sharon receive their secondary school graduation diplomas.
