The bowlers took, their third game iri a row from Brindley winning the fourth game 10-6 in a batter's battle. The bowlers led throughout the fourth game • going in to the final inning up „ seven runs. Brindley rallied for three runs in the seventh but fell short of the Little Bowl' lead. In the final game Little Bowl hit through the order in the thjrd to push five runs over and held Brindley off for the rest of the game for the win. Dennis Miske led -off the big inning with a double and scored the first run when Doug Stoll followed up with a single. Harrison had landed on second after beating out a Little Bowl error on his • hit. In the fourth Carman Fielder slammed one out of the ' park with' nobody on for the second run and Jim Martin took advantage of another series of bowler errors to score the third `and final Brindley run. Jim Martin gave up a dozen hits and struck out one for the loss. •• • • • • 4 • Senior squad wins tourney in Wingham In the first boys' volleyball tournament of the year played . fin_. 'Wingham; -t-he - •Goderich Senior team won both its, matches against South Huron (Exeter) and Wingham. They 'defeated the Exeter six 15-9 and°15-7. Against Wingham they won the first game 15-9, lost the second 16-14 and took the match game 15-8: Members of this year's team are Mike Andrew, Jeff Baechler', Greg Beacom, Dennis Hirst, Eddie Johnston, Steve Johnston, Glen Linner, Scott Miller, Dale Nivins, Jay' Smith, Kevin Such, Susil "Zeke" Weerasooriya and Phil Young. The coach is Bill Worsell. This ' Wedne,,sday the team travelled to Clinton for matches against Wingham, 'South Huron and Clinton.
